Why are people jumping to some conclusion that Punk is signing with UFC? Because he has. Multi-fight deal with them aiming for a 2015 debut. More in (w)rest.

Oh Well, I saw the vine video just now. He technically didn't say that he was fighting could be a commentator...
I would prefer he fought. He has a mma background and is a big fan himself. I would support Punk as much as I did Lesnar.

I would support Punk as much as I did Lesnar. What MMA background does he have? I've read that he took jujitsu classes when he was on breaks from WWE. But other then a gimmick I don't know Punk has done any type of fighting, martial arts, wrestling ect. Don't misunderstand me, I'm really excited to see him just to see what happens. Dana White knows this will bring a lot of viewers to the UFC PPV Punk is on just like Lesnar did. If he looses or the fight doesn't look good he wont be back but Dana gets his buy rate payday. I'm wondering if he will be CM PUNK or Phil "CM PUNK" Brooks, and what hardcore-punk song he uses.

Richard Hunter @richardhunter At #UFC181 post fight presser CM Punk tells me his wife @wweajlee is "not thrilled" but supportive of @ufc move-Hasn't heard mgmt reaction. A wife being not thrilled with her husband's decisions happens in approximately 100% of married couples.

from 2012
Per SEScoops:
"There is also concern over Punk’s appearance backstage; he has been described as walking around looking like he just walked out of a car accident. Officials notice this as he often walks around backstage with a heat pack or an ice pack in tow and generally looks beaten and battered."

I totally agree. Nothing says 'punk rock lifestyle' quite like bragging about how rich you are. This is way off topic, but the only thing that came to my mind when I read that sentence was this: "Millions of dollars!!"

It doesn't get much more insincere than that.

WWE may as well have added "...and that Wrestlemania main event is yours any time you want it" to the end of that statement.

WWE may as well have added "...and that Wrestlemania main event is yours any time you want it" to the end of that statement. I'd love if years down the road Punk came back, main evented mania and was like "THIS WAS MY MASTERPLAN ALL ALONG. I had to leave to make you give me what I wanted! Because that's the way Vince's brain works apparently!"

That's kind of surprising. This is a minor thing, but WWE usually uses the phrase "we wish him the best" instead of "wish him luck." The only reason I mention the slight wording change is because Punk often says "luck is for losers" and he has a tattoo about that. Would the writer of this message intentionally change the usual wording as a very small dig at Punk?

I'm looking forward to even more thinly-veiled digs leading up to and just after his first fight, whatever the outcome is.
