To learn more go to the Beyond Wrestling Facebook page: www.facebook.com/beyondwrestling?fref=nfBasically, the gist of it is that the 12 companies are streaming a YouTube special that will stream at the same time as Raw on January 19. The special can only be viewed then and is supposed to feature the best matches of the companies involved. Aside from Beyond the promotions involved are: 2CW, AAW, AIW, Alpha-1, C*4, DREAMWAVE, HOODSLAM, Inspire Pro, ISW, Smash Wrestling and St. Louis Anarchy. Thoughts?

Interesting idea. But I think the majority who will watch this event have either boycotted, or been dipping in and out of the product for some time already.
Therefore I doubt it will make any impact on the viewing figures of Raw.

I recognize a few of those leagues, but why this Raw specifically?
I'll support their cause, but I don't know what this will actually change.

Cool idea but if these cats seriously think they are gonna make a dent in Raw's audience, they are dreaming. Best they can hope for is some publicity.

I'm so worn out from the time I helped #HijackRaw, but I'm gonna be serious this time and do everything I can to #BoycottRAW now!

At least six of those have to be efeds. I've actually heard of all but one (seriously, the f*** is Alpha-1?) of those promotions before and can ensure you that none of them are e-feds. There is a Cali fed called HOODSLAM.

AIW is an Ohio - based promotion and AAW is in Illinois, I Think.... thought Beyond was actually based in Northern Ohio, but I see that Drew/Denver moved it to Rhode Island. Curiosity adequately piqued.

I bet one of the title matches features a guy using a 80s rocker gimmick.
The most underused gimmick on the indies!

What exactly are they boycotting? Are they trying to convince management to improve the quality of the show? Unless they're trying to promote change, then all they're doing is pushing their own work.

Why are a bunch of indy wrestling companies boycotting RAW? This makes zero sense.

What exactly are they boycotting? Are they trying to convince management to improve the quality of the show? Unless they're trying to promote change, then all they're doing is pushing their own work. Directly from the facebook page "I guess a lot of people are more fixated on the name "Boycott RAW" than the purpose of this historic presentation. Well, let me explain... I work my "shoot job" on Monday nights so I don't even get a chance to watch Monday Night RAW live like everybody else. However, I am privy to social media, and the feedback on WWE's flagship program seems to indicate that now, more-so than ever, the stories are confusing, the action is tepid, and the format is stale. As someone who has dedicated much of his adult life to professional wrestling, my biggest fear is that when fans become dissatisfied with the industry leader, they will give up on the genre altogether. The purpose of "Boycott RAW" isn't to get fans to stop watching WWE. The purpose of "Boycott RAW" is to get the internet wrestling community to band together for one night to raise awareness for the mainstream alternatives. If you are unhappy with what you see on your TV every Monday night, please don't stop supporting professional wrestling. Tune in to "Boycott RAW" on 1/19/15 and thrust yourself head first into the indie scene. We are teaming with a dozen of the most prominent independent wrestling promotions in North America to broadcast some of the best matches of 2014 to a worldwide audience." I think it's a good idea to reach out to those fans who feel turned off my the modern product by giving them a gateway into the Indy scene. I'm going to be really interested to see some of these matches, especially what my local company 2CW throws in there. Knowing quite a few of these companies I can all but guarantee that these matches are going to be top notch.
