That carpet they have around the ring...LOL Yknow that and the lack of marble countertops kept them off HGTV. House Hunters don't play that. You know... Nicole Curtis could be a Knockout...

Why is the go to chant for Wrestling fans right now for a turn is "You Sold Out"?

Why is the go to chant for Wrestling fans right now for a turn is "You Sold Out"? Because "Your recent action have shown that you do not hold the values we once believed you did and will no longer support career" is hard to get a bunch of drunks (in this case) and kids to chant.

So...in TNA's first show back, they created a new dominant heel stable. It's like they DON'T want you to watch their show. It's like they saw the Authority back in WWE and said, "we'll show them a REAL heel stable... made up of completely random people."

I laughed so damn hard when I learned that the same people who're doing the latest Impact theme are the same people who did that ridiculously awful "Butterfly" song.
Anyways, I hadn't actually watched an episode of Impact since October and wasn't surprised to find that things were almost exactly how they were when I stopped watching. No more interest there.

Just now watching the opening segment. Yeah, no way this show wasn't written by Russo. That segment and the ending has his fingerprints all over it.

I hate the state of American wrestling right now. And I'm a guy who has stuck around through the 80s till now.

Can't wait for next week MVP, Kenny King, Low Ki, Samoa Joe, and Eric Young to cut a 90 minute promo explaining why they did what they did. Next Friday is 15-15-15 right?

I didn't see the show but...
-Why does monster heel Lashley need all this to beat Roode?
-How come the first show on Destination America is set in a badly-lit place instead of in a state of art facility with a good set and top notch light shows?
Oh boy, I bet this Dixie-Gaburick duo is gonna be one for the ages, folks!

Well, I enjoyed the show as a whole. I like the new(ish) style of the show...Josh Mathews was a highlight. Working boots were on for the Tag and X Title matches. Great stuff there. KONG is back!!!
Good title match...not wild about the ending either but I'll see where it goes. Could make sense...likely not. EY doesn't really fit with the other four...no street thug vibe. I would've just kept him face as a top ally to Roode.
Angle vs. MVP wasn't my thing at all but the crowd dug it at least.
Not perfect but surprisingly more good than bad for me. However, I hope we get some fresh blood cause most TNA match-ups are beyond played out (I'm looking at you, X-Division).

That show was f***ing terrible. You know what the worst part is? I'm still going to watch next week.

Actually, are there even any faces for Lashley to defend the title against at this point? There's Roode, Angle, Jeff Hardy... That's like it. Every other recent champion or really every other guy in the company who's been champion who's still around (not that there are a lot) is heel.
They're going to give the title to Angle and have him hold it for an eternity, aren't they?

Ladies and gents, as always, it's been a pleasure to read your thread. It's the one good thing I can always rely on with TNA.

I don't get the hate for the shows return. It was a neat opening showing everyone was ready to get at it. The matches were all decent. The ending wasn't great but eh whatever, I'll see where they take it. I know it's all in your preferences, but I enjoyed this and watched it in full unlike Monday where I skipped at least half of it. Granted Monday has an extra hour, but still I wasn't sucked in. I was for the most part here.

Plus there was the tension between him and MVP before the match. I expect next week we'll get another shocking swerve where the new heel stable attacks him as well.

Kong's return was a nice surprise. The ending was lame. Nuff said.

You've got to love it. It's got to the point now with TNA where the swerve is when they don't do a swerve.

I'll give WWE this: at least their roster knows that the best time to have a nonsensical brawl is on the last segment of the show. That way you don't burn out the audience early.

Didn't get to watch last night, but this certainly sounds Russo-ific.
If they treat some of this as a soft reboot of sorts, it could be alright: just basically handwave some of what came before on Spike and answer questions with "Look, it's a new channel/time/roster/etc., it's just what we're rolling with now". If this tries to connect everything with what came before and becomes yet another "Evil heel group that'll disband by this time next year attempts a takeover", then you guys have already said everything there is to be said about that.
That said, I have a hard time acknowledging a heel "thug" group with Low Ki in it that doesn't include Homicide. It just doesn't feel right.
