Of all the times to do this, this was not the time.
If I were WWE, I would want as few people as possible to see that Rumble. =P

Upset? Maybe. Entitled to a refund? Definitely not. The purchase was for the 3-hour PPV Royal Rumble 8 pm Sunday night. That's what they got and as far as I know there were no technical difficulties in the transmission of the show. So a refund seems ridiculous to me. In the UK, Sky Box Office show it live then a week of replays for the price. WWE fans here who may watch RAW on DVR but wait for friends reaction before getting PPV's will now not get the PPV as they'll just watch this RAW. I always wondered how many people actually buy a PPV days after the event itself? It must be in single figures. Anyway, I don't think they had a better option in what was a freak scenario. People who paid for the PPV live got the live PPV.

I understand your frustration, and I do hope you get your money back.
but in all fairness, if there hadn't been a blizzard with 3 feet of snow on the ground, a state wide emergency and the show being forced to be canceled, they would have never replayed the Rumble. They had a 3 hour time slot to fill with something, and they went with their best option. The WWE and your cable company had no control over the weather.
sometimes life gives you nothing but bad choices, but you still have to choose.
The odds of this happening again are a long shot, and I'd be more upset over the shitty booking then anything else.

Dude, it is crazy to expect a refund. 1. No one can help the weather. 2. You paid to see the Rumble LIVE. The live experience is what you paid for. What they do with the footage after is their business. The entitlement of wrestling fans these days is getting a little out of hand.

It's no different than the Cable company charging less for a PPV 2 days after it happen, you paid to see it live and to react to it live.

The smart choice would have been a collection of shows that are offered on the Network. You know, to possibly get people to subscribe. But nah. Pissing off the people who paid for the PPV was obviously the best route to go. Guess what the Rumble is? It is a Network show. Same for Fast Lane and Wrestlemania and Summer Slam and all the rest. They aren't PPVs any more despite what cable companies say. Seriously, legally they are no longer PPVs, those shows are programming on WWE Network and apart of that package for no additional charge, that is how WWE can get away with charging $9.99. That is also why they hammer home how stupid it is to pay your cable company $55, if the Network is available to you. Either way, to shit on WWE for actually try to make the best out of a bad situation and keep their stuff going without a stop since it is Wrestlemania season is insane to me. This isn't the time of year for best ofs or sneak peaks, this is full bore, get people hyped for Wrestlemania and that is what WWE did. This.

Plus they did not need to show both the title match and the Rumble match. Showing both just makes the people who payed for it look like rubes for doing so.

1) You have a right to be annoyed 2) You have the right to ask for a refund, just don't expect it or assume you're entitled to one. You aren't. 3) Everyone saying that it's not WWE's fault for the weather are making a pointless argument. It's not WWE's fault that the show was snowed out but it's their fault they chose to show the Rumble instead of a package show. They blatantly showed the Rumble trying to maintain their ratings, giving a middle finger to everyone who'd paid for it.
You have every right to be pissed off at the WWE, but the solution is not giving them any more money... not trying to skeeve back what you already have.

What did you want them to show? The fireplace channel for three hours? It's not like they pre planned showing the rumble, they had little other choice. I adore the fireplace channel

Pissing off the people who paid for the PPV was obviously the best route to go. Well think of it as giving a treat to the people who didn't/couldn't get the PPV (or the Network). That's actually how I did look at it. I personally enjoyed the free viewing. But I do understand why people would be upset and I do think it was a mistake on the company's part. could have showed the pilot episodes to shows like Monday Night War and Legend's House. Got non subscribers interesting in something that isn't just wrestling and hopfully bring in new people. But this does remind me of something a little off topic. When Family guy released the Stewie movie DVD. They made me really want to get it. So I went out, spent the money and bought the DVD. Then when the next season started. The first 2 episodes were that movie. I didn't get upset, infact I laughed a bit at myself. But I did understand why people were mad.

You paid to watch it live. If they want to show it for free the next day they can.

Bryan not winning is not a reason to demand a refund. The event being shown the next day for free is. But, they could counter that they didn't show every match (or did they?) No they just showed two matches. My biggest complaint is they were re showing matches I had seen the day before but I think it was good that they got as much original content as they did.
