My biggest issue is the way they intentionally cut the legs out from all the popular babyfaces, probably to ensure that Reigns as seen as THE babyface. And we're not talking about "smark" favorites here, Bryan, Ziggler, and Ambrose get the loudeset pure babyface pops on the entire roster. That means most every fan in every building is behind them. Yet, here we are heading into WrestleMania and none of them have featured matches. That's just mind-boggling.
I know a lot of people will blame Reigns for the problem, but he's really not part of it. His winning the Rumble and facing Lesnar wouldn't be anything to complain about if those three guys I mentioned were actually booked super strong alongside him as their peer. No, I'll tell you who the problems are - Randy Orton, Undertaker, and Sting. Those three are taking the spots of Bryan, Ambrose, and Ziggler in my eyes.
Orton's time is done, and working with him will do nothing for Seth Rollins. He's just in the way at this point. He should be in the Andre Battle Royal, having resolved his feud with Rollins at Fastlane. That opens the door for Ambrose to resume his bloodfeud with Seth considering they never did get to finish it due to Bray Wyatt.
Speaking of Bray, he eliminated Daniel Bryan at the Rumble which led to Bryan's past month of booking. He's also a guy Bryan has a long history with and has never beaten. WrestleMania match made right there. When you consider that the Streak is already broken and Undertaker was hobbling around like an old fart last year (even before getting concussed), why is he coming back for this? And if he was coming back...
Sting. Sting has wanted to face Undertaker at WrestleMania for years. It's a match fans have wanted to see for years. You get both guys on the card in a high profile match, and you do it without taking perfect spots away from Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler. And I say Ziggler because to me, after the booking since Survivor Series, he is the absolute perfect opponent for Triple H at WrestleMania. He beat The Authority. They come back and fire him. He's a guy the fans identify with as being "held back". Think of how much a singles match on that stage against Triple H would do for him.
I hate the fact that I can sit here and armchair book a better WrestleMania.
