Kimber Lee really needs to stop doing spots like that. She has nothing left to prove. Especially not in Beyond Wrestling, where she's had a ton of high profile matches.
Dickinson though. He's Dickinson. Even moreso than Eddie Kingston, he's indie for life due to his in-ring antics. His whole rep is about being a complete POS, and he takes it to an extreme. Don't know how the guy is outside of it, though I have seen the occasional FB post, and uh... PR nightmare, even for TNA.

I've seen this posted to my Facebook wall.
I mean, the chairshot looks brutal but I think she got her arm up. It's nowhere near as brutal as the Razor's Edge though, which on its own is probably the most underrated dangerous move, with so much potential to go wrong.
But, it's difficult to say whether Dickenson is a piece of shit for this because I have to believe Kimber Lee okay'd it.
Either way, if I were him, I would have thought twice because it's a very shocking piece and it could very easily ruin any potential WWE shot (if that is his final goal).

Verne Gagne is so far gone he doesn't even remember shoving a man to the ground in a nursing home in 2009, which the man later died from complications from I'm on your side and all, but I would not consider it exceptional for a guy in his 80s+ being confused, agitated, violent, etc. With that population I see at least some degree confusion more often than not, especially overnight. "The daughter of 82-year-old Gagne confirmed that her father has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease." Obviously I have no idea what impact being a pro wrestler had on Verne's cognitive state, but I feel comfortable saying the majority of the many old confused people I've seen were not pro wrestlers. EDIT: Thought I'd do some lazy research for evidence based posting, from UpToDate "How common is delirium? — Nearly 30 percent of older patients experience delirium at some time during hospitalization; the incidence is higher in intensive care units. Among older patients who have had surgery, the risk of delirium varies from 10 to greater than 50 percent" That I mostly work with the older people when they need surgery to repair femur fractures, I guess it makes sense that it feels like it's about 50% or so to me. Yeah, I thing a more apt example over Verne would be Mick Foley. At age 49 he now has to tell people where he's staying when he's on the road because he can't remember himself, and even has problems remembering where he lives.

The chair shot wasn't nearly as bad as I was expected but f*** right off with that Powerbomb. That's some Hernandez type shit, talk about having someone's life in your hands and not caring at all. This is a smart post for all the "If it was a man you wouldn't care!" types. LESS than this has happened before. The Hernandez powerbomb to Doug Williams didn't have a stupid chairshot before it, and everyone hated that too.

Every time I see Stephanie Mcmahon, the character, smugly tear apart the wrestlers and never get any comeuppance, it annoys me. Would I like to see her take one finisher just once? An RKO perhaps? Yes, you're damn right. The character deserves it. And taking a fairly safe finisher like a Stunner or something would be enjoyable to see because I hate her character.
But I understand we've moved on from the days when men attacked woman in WWE. Like I said, if Steph took a move which is like a fairly safe bump, I wouldn't be sickened. But if she was hit in the head with a nasty looking char shot and sloppily slammed down super hard somewhere between the canvas and turnbuckle? No, I would not like that. This video is just awful.

For reference- Not sickening because you know Randy is protecting her. You know Stephanie is better than half of the roster at taking bumps well and landed safe. You know it is itself a fairly safe, controlled move; She is controlling a lot of her own momentum.

Sounded and looked very much like a prepared statement to get people off Beyond's backs. Though we should really still be on Dickinson's to not be such a dick.

This shit needed to go the way of the Dodo bird a long time ago.

I feel like the gender thing is a red herring in all this. Sad to see unsafe wrestling getting a free pass from at least some folks as a way to stick it to those "stupid SWJ bitches".

I'm actually not against male wrestlers as heels doing bad things to women in storyline, and usually it ends up with the woman doing something back and getting the big comeback.
This here however, like, I might go off on a tangent here. I was against the idea of Triple H and Undertaker getting fined for a chair shot to the head at Wrestlemania one year. The reason being is Triple H is a professional and if there's anyone who can work a chair shot, it's him. This wasn't working. There was no "work" involved here? As was said, it was assault and battery and I've always heard a lot about beyond wrestling, but now, I feel the people who end up supporting it are the kind of people, as Jim Cornette would say, would molest the dog and kick the cat. I don't know who's bright idea this was, but in the immortal words of Dutch Mantell "I loved the business better when the marks were in the seats".

Beyond Wrestling say that they have fined both Chris Dickinson and Kimber Lee for their actions.

Why, when there's all this documented research into head injuries and the long-term effects of concussions, do people still friggin' insist on chairshots to the head? It's ridiculous. I was linked to LuFisto weighing in on it earlier. Should be spread around and be required reading for anyone who watched that video. No, dammit, 'cuz protecting your head is for pussies! Seriously, I cannot believe that there are people who still salivate over the days when garbage wrestling was king... or at least the prince. There are side effects to these stunts, and while not obvious in the short term (besides probable severe headaches), in the long term, the consequences are pretty damning. If you think about it, professional wrestling was one of the first major contributors to people understanding C.T.E. because of stuff like Chris Benoit. I'd rather enjoy a technical match where any usage of weaponry is significant instead of mindless brawls where the focus is more on who can take the most beatings? If you wanna see that kind of stuff, do it in a video game.

Ok this is really nice. Beyond Wrestling tweeted this essentially saying it's ok that Kimber Lee got blasted with a chair because she did the same to Dickinson and I guess it was worse because he didn't get his hand up. I'd also bet that she didn't swing the chair any where close to how hard he did. They're also trying to claim fans are making this a gender issue which it's not. It's about health and safety and the fact that we're still talking about this in 2015 is beyond ridiculous.

Well some people are trying to make it a gender issue, and those people are probably louder and more annoying than the people just trying to promote safety. But I'm not even sure how it would be a gender issue. This is "equality" (that's dumb to say I know just going off what I'm seeing) so those people can't be mad. Then if people are saying, "You can't treat women that way" then they should be shouted down by those first people. And of course she didn't swing the chair as hard. She's a little girl. (this part is a joke that will likely be met with bad remarks. That top but wasn't though)

f***ing shit. iamsiaho-to all you stupid SWJ bitches: 1) wrestling is fake 2) if we are all equal, a man, in a violent sport, should be just as entitled to hit a woman as he is another man 3) if wrestling WERE real, you should be applauding this STRONG WOMAN for making it in a MANS sport, rather than doing something feminine and demeaning, like play tennis, field hockey, or, god forbid, cheer-leading. suck my dick. 37 likes. The f*** is wrong with people? Tennis? Tennis? Now granted the other 2 are also examples of "Do those for awhile and tell me those aren't tough.", but f***ing tennis? Yeah that's really demeaning to play for hours during one match, running back and forth even in 100 degree weather, and hitting a ball at times going over 100 mph. That's not even getting into the fact that according to him we should be applauding her for making it in a "man's" sport, when men play tennis.

A YouTube comment - 'That bitch got destroyed lol. She probably wants to f*** him now.'
I devote much of my life to fighting misogyny and it's because of shit like that. That is far more messed up than the actual match itself.
