Josh's war against senior citizens continues on. Next he'll egg Old Man Sammartino's house, call the Hulkster bald, and prank call Ric Flair claiming he's a bank loan officer and Naitch just got approve for a loan.

It's hard to say Vince is out of touch when he's running the most successful wrestling company in the world. That's like saying the Toronto Maple Leafs are the best managed NHL Franchise because they make the most money every year. I give credit where credit is due that Vince McMahon monopolized wrestling by putting out all of the territories he wanted out out of business, put wrestling on the mainstream with the rise of cable television and PPV's creating a wrestling boom, winning the Monday Night War and buying out it's own real competitor, and smartly invested in things like National TV Contracts, turning into a public funded company, and gwetting bunch of national corporate sponserships (video games, toys, retail stores supplying shirts, etc) during the Attitude Era when the wrestling boom was at it's highest. WWE is set for life. There will never be another wrestling boom again period and WWE has made so money and smartly saved and invested it in while destroying any real competition. There will be never another start up wrestling promotion that could compete against the WWE because there will never be another wrestling boom for the company to make serious bank nor there will never be a promoter who has more then 1% of Vince McMahon's personal budget to compete with. Raw could just be Hornswoggle farting on the microphone for 3 hours every week for a month straight and it'll still be the highest rated, most viewed, most attended, most discussed wrestling promotion every week. Unless a richer and more well connected person decides to run against Vince, nothing will ever compete with WWE or get close to WWE's success. Same reason why Wal-Mart will forever be the biggest retailer in the world or McDonald's will forever be the biggest fast food promotion in the world or why the Toronto Maple Leaf's will forever be the biggest NHL Franchise on the market.

If Josh was employed in a local news company instead of TNA, would it make it any less true what he said about Vince? Doesn't really change anything from Vince's end.
If somebody else said what Josh said, would it actually be more true?
These would fit under the Ad Hominem and especially the Tu Quoque logical fallacy, and rendered false.

Vince is old and out of touch. Dixie is Ted Turner on a bad acid trip. We suffer both ways. Vince "Out of Touch, Out of Time" McMahon and Dixie "One Step Forward, Two Steps Back" Carter....the world of wrestling is f**ked until they are either forced out of power or dead

You are talking apples and oranges.NHL is a sports league where the best team is always the one that scores the most points. Wrestling is an entertainment business where people spend their money to be entertained. Yes Vince has a lot of money and connections but in this day and age of the internet, social media, and grass roots movements there's no reason why a wrestling promotion with the resources of lets say a TNA or Even a ROH couldn't be bigger than what they are. It's not because Vince is holding them back, or even lack of exposure, but just the fact their products do not appeal to as many people as the WWE does. So in this case vince understands what more people want in a wrestling program than anyone else. If that's not getting it I don't know what is.

I used the comparison for Toronto because it'll forever be the biggest hockey market in the NHL and continues to make more money then any other team regardless if they are good or terrible. Case in point Toronto is one of the most dubious runned NHL franchises within the past two decades yet they outgross everyone by a long shot simply because they are in Toronto. They are set for life no matter how terrible they are because Toronto. WWE is synonymous with Pro Wrestling. Lots of non wrestling fans will say WWE or WWF instead of Professional Wrestling. WWE has tons of lucrative corporate sponsorships and connections with retail giants, toy companies, video game companies, and sponsorships for their PPV's/TV Shows that another wrestling company will forever dream of getting but will never get. Wrestling companies can grow and become bigger for sure. But I doubt we will ever see a wrestling company that will get a primetime spot on a national cable channel that constantly sells out NBA/NHL sized arena's and can sell out a giant football stadium every year. I'm also saying there will never be a wrestling boom because wrestling has transcended into a niche form of entertainment and part of the magic of the two major wrestling booms was social networking and high speed internet really wasn't that big of a thing as now and kayfabe was still alive. Plus it was the new exciting thing that fitted with the times. There really isn't a pop culture identity in this decade and there really isn't nothing new in wrestling anymore.

I think there could be a change if only other promotions actually came up with something that struck a cord with audiences. Unfortunately no one gets it.
