I think we may have another stock answer when it comes to listing the worst movies of all-time. Many people will say this movie without having seen it based on the reputation.

I dunno, nothing can be worse than Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star. Bad reviews really do nothing, good reviews can do a lot of good for a movies box office though. Especially if its a smaller film. Bad word of mouth is probably more damaging than poor reviews from professionals. Fifty Shades Of Grey was destroyed by critics, but the popularity of the books, its general infamy and the ad campaign assured the public wanted to see it for themselves. As successful as it was (especially overseas), the reception and domestic dropoff after Week Two was pretty harsh. This is true. Edge of Tomorrow was a movie that got glowing reviews but a small opening weekend, but it had such good "Word-Of-Mouth" that it ended up having legs.

Since there's a thread here for Early Oscars Talk, I think we can start Early Razzies Talk with this film. (And before you say it's over already, there's plenty of time for another overhyped comedy starring a big name whose best material came out years ago.)

Oh yeah, it opened against Kingsman, and Fifty Shades fell off quick thanks in large part to word of mouth, and Kingsman stuck around for a long time thanks to word of mouth. Dare I say Kingsman is set up better for it's sequel to be a bigger hit than Fifty Shades.

I saw some scenes and it actually wasn't terrible. Not great, but I chuckled. And I'm a guy who's been off the Sandler bandwagon for years.

Edge of Tomorrow opening the same week as a film based on a wildly popular YA romance novel probably helped towards its modest opening weekend.

As I predicted, it finally has one positive review, and it's not from a top critic. Now it sits at 2%,
