EC3 just gets it. He is the sole shining star in TNA right now. Everything the guy does is extremely solid entertainment. If they were going to rebuild TNA from the ground up, I'd start with EC3.

I wouldn't say he's the "sole shining star in TNA", but I do think he's the best thing in TNA(and one of the best things in all of wrestling) right now.

Only EC3 could pull off a segment like that and not make it seem incredibly lame. He's a one-of-a-kind talent.

Congrats to the guy, it's well deserved and will give him more screen time to shine.
And far too late to really mean anything for the TNA corpse, but hey.

Wish he'd won it a bit more decisively or even dastardly, but I'm glad he's champ

EC3 is the best thing in TNA by a million miles.
I'd love to see this character in the WWE.

Wish he'd won it a bit more decisively or even dastardly, but I'm glad he's champ For EC3's character I actually liked how he won. It was fluky yes, but Angle can't claim it was cheap so EC3 can use it as a reason to not give Kurt a title shot.

EC3 has "it" and is simply a star. I abandoned TNA years ago and absolutely hate the 6 sided ring but EC3 has me turning in again because I find him that entertaining. Everything about him is great and he is definitely a true star.
EC3 is not only the best heel is TNA but one of the best wrestlers overall in the sport right now.
Glad to see him get his moment and hopefully he will continue to get a chance to keep shining no matter what happens to TNA.
Just a real big fan of the guy.

I'm happy EC3 won but can't shake the feeling this is like when Booker T won the WCW World title. A great move to give the belt to a worthy person but too late to stop the countdown to doomsday. Now to see how TNA follows up with this. Hopefully more Bobby Roode than Magnus.

To me it reminds me of Steve Corino telling the story about winning the ECW belt and how happy he was to achieve it, only to have bounced checks a couple of weeks later and desperately trying to get into WCW.
EC3 deserves the belt no doubt about it, but is it really worth it to be the face of a dying brand?

By change, do you mean nickles and dimes? Cause that's what they're paying him in.

Glad he's won it, dude's the best thing in TNA by a longshot. Wouldn't be surprised that it was JR that put a stop to any push he was getting, seems more and more these days we hear about how much of a politicking dick he was backstage whilst trying to get his hosses over.

It wasn't JR, he wasn't involved on developmental at that point. Also Jim congratulated Ethan on twitter and EC3 actually retweeted the comment and thanked him. I think he was referring to Bill Demott burying him because he's the only fat guy of importance during that time.
