... what an unimpressive re-debut for that character

That segment would have been completely fine if he had just busted Axel with the microphone after the first mimic, but no.
EVERYONE MUST BE WACKY.

He even buried his old gimmick, so he can't even go back to that.
Sandow is f***ed.

I fell asleep during RAW...did he have a robe? No, a plain black shirt and jeans. He mixed his old self with the Mizdow stunt double character.

He even buried his old gimmick, so he can't even go back to that. Sandow is f***ed. If he had any fire, piss and vinegar fighting the Miz instead of 3 min average for 3 matches which he lost 2 of 3 then he'd have something to go off of

I'm a sincerity mark, that got me kind of teary eyed to be honest. I thought he did good. His material to work with, we'll see, but he's fun to get behind.

Water down the comedy a bit (OK, maybe a lot), and I think this could be OK. Decent promo too before Axel interrupted.

I liked the shoot at the beginning but it kind of feels like he wont have a direction from here on out...

His thing is a WUM. He is a wind up merchant who'll copy and spoof everyone as a head game only it's legit to the fans now.
Odd but logical coming from the Mizdow story and his impersonating thing before it.

I liked the shoot at the beginning but it kind of feels like he wont have a direction from here on out... He's basically a comedy character now. He got over being the goofy stunt double. He'll be the new Santino. Nothing wrong with it as long as the fans react to him like they did with Santino for years.

He's seemed very generic tonight. And the copycat thing was cringeworthy.
I just want the Intellectual Savior of the Masses back (but I don't know how).

The funniest thing from this segment was Axel bashing Sandow for impersonating others as he then proceeds to tell him off with a Hulk Hogan impersonation.

I thought the bit with Axel was sort of a final farewell to the imitator gimmick. I do think this is an attempt to start pushing him up the card. Don't know what direction his character and gimmick will take next, but I'm really hoping it works out for him. He definitely deserves something better.

Meh. It's not like they can make him go full Intellectual Savior mode since he's a babyface and he provided some backstory so hurray for continuity? If he's an intellectual dick who copy cats heels during matches to throw them off guard it could work. But this Sandow so of course it's going to work dude makes any crappy situation work so far. Dude is so underrated

I have faith in Sandow. He'll do his best to make it work.

I enjoyed it a lot. It was Looney Toons, all it was missing was Dean "Bugs Bunny" Ambrose and a "That' All Folks"... Which is now what I want for Sandow's finisher.

Started out ok. I thought it would go somewhere and then the Axman came out and it was game over. I love Axel too, it was just not smart booking.

His name isn't even Damien Sandow. He's just some jobber named Tom Brandy. I didn't know he was Italian.
