"Deathmatch/"Hardcore" wrestling. Back in the 90s it was interesting (and even kind of edgy) to see matches full of blood with crazy stipulations. However, with most wrestling companies emphasizing more well-rounded wrestlers (for the most part), the matches now are hilariously bad at best, and cringeworthy (especially post-benoit) at worst (i was watching a rhyno/raven hardcore match from 2001 on the network, and it had so many headshots i had to cringe, and thats supposedly a more "toned down" version of deathmatches).

Spider-Man (2002) and X-Men (2000) do not hold up at all, IMO.

Agree on X-men but can't on SM The story of SM holds up, but the effects don't. That's what I was getting at.

Butt Ugly Martians I believe came out in 2000 or 2001. That monstrosity didn't hold up even back then. There was also that Three Friends and Jerry cartoon that aired on ABC Family back when it was Fox Family. Writing wise, I think it was okay (haven't see it in a long time) but the animation and art style didn't look right.
I'll also throw Mike, Lu, and Og into the ring. It was a boring cartoon with sub-par acting, and it's ridiculous art style and animation made it look like a Nick Jr. reject from the early 90s that somehow found its way to CN in 1998.

The original Playstation - I recently hooked mine up and boy...the games look like shit.
Married with Children - Great when it was on...but doesn't hold up so well today. Especially the ones where Al and his buddies became a regular thing.
Jerry Springer - Good grief...why is he still on?
The nWo - I was rewatching some WCW clips from around 1997 or 1998 and it was pretty corny. Looking back all these years later I can't believe the storyline was such a hit. Especially when they broke into two factions. I was watching the clip where they debuted the Wolfpac's entrance music...lmfao. a bunch of middle aged white guys coming out to rap just seems strange...lol.
Those are my picks.

Uniforms that look like this: I should note that I still like those Islanders jerseys. those didn't hold up when they first appeared, either.

Goodness, those Ducks jerseys look like some team mascot merchandise you create in toddler sizes.

I hate to say this, but aside from a very select few films (X-Men 2, Iron Man, The Dark Knight), most of the superhero films from the 2000s arent that great, and i cant remember ANY memorable superhero film from the 90s (ok, the schumacher batman films were memorable, but in a totally different way).

Why did the Islanders put the killer from "I Know What You Did Last Summer" on their jerseys?

Why did the Islanders put the killer from "I Know What You Did Last Summer" on their jerseys? In short, a new ownership group bought the team in 1992 or 1993. They were the ownership group that immediately followed the ownership/management group during the Islanders dynasty years of the early 80s. This new ownership group, which wanted to elevate the Islanders back to respectability(they had fallen off their mighty steeple a bit in the mid-90s), thought that maybe the first step in doing that was updating the uniforms to reflect the style of the time. Unfortunately, that time was 1995. Thus, in order to reflect the EXTREME!!!!! mid-90s, you got the wacky orange, teal, grey, and navy blue color scheme. The logo, is a fisherman, which is supposed to reflect Long Island's ties with fishing and other seas-based industries. Anyways, the guy ended up looking like the Gorton's Fisherman and even for 1995, the uniforms were too out there and were immediately decried. These jerseys were around for 3 years (1995-1998) and aside from being in bad taste, they also hold the stigma of being the uniform during a very tumultuous time in New York Islanders history. It was during this time that the Islanders hit rock bottom in the NHL standings. The ownership group that brought these uniforms in left and were about to sell the team to John Spano, who was literally a fraud. He never really had the money necessary to buy the team. That's pretty much the gist of it.

Angsty brooding anti-heroes with questionable motives and ridiculously convoluted pasts that bubble under the surface of their apathetic, "badass" facades. Particularly prevalent in video games and comic books during this time period, especially in the 90s.
Cloud, Squall, K', and Shadow the Hedgehog are the poster boys for this in video games. Their schtick got really old, really fast.
