Jim Cornette once said that Vince paid fully, even guys that wronged him or left to WCW, that's the difference why that man runs a profitable company and Dixie doesn't.

I always thought it was a waste of money for TNA to hire Bischoff
Turns out, he may not have even got that money anyway.

Hell after they lose this trial, without any money, what kind of lawyer is gonna represent them against Scott Steiner? The chicken lawyer from futurama? Makes sense. Patrick Bateman also isn't a lawyer. At least him and Shaw will have plenty to talk about.

In my view he cost the company millions however. That doesn't mean that he isn't legally entitled to the money that is contractually owed to him. Legally yes, morally no. If I burnt down a friend's house I'd probably not ask them for that £30 I lent them.

Sure, but in this scenario, Bischoff only burned down the house because Dixie told him, "Here, take these oily rags and matches and play around in my kitchen for a bit. I'll gladly pay you to do so."

As someone who has lost £2,000 / $3,500 of wages due to a company just closing and not paying anyone, I back Bischoff if it is true. Companies like that are scummy.

There's no reason to suspect Bischoff didn't do his job to the best of his ablities. He was just incompetent. If TNA don't like it, tough titty. Should have signed someone else to a contract.

Bisch went with his awful and completely flawed artistic vision, but a deal's a deal. Football coach Charlie Weis is getting paid by both Notre Dame and Kansas despite having been fired by both.

I was thinking more along the lines of Dixie set it on fire, threw Bischoff a Super Soaker full of gasoline and said "Here kid, put that out for me while I do some fiddling'" but yeah, either way, not Eric's fault.

Morally Bischoff is in the right too. It's as simple as 'a deal is a deal'. If you try and renege on a contract, you're in the wrong. Period.
Any attempt to try and paint the dude in an unfavorable light for trying to get wages owed him is frankly a lil bizarre.

If TNA thought he did not deliver and did not deserve to be paid, they could have taken him to court or otherwise tried to settle it. You don't just not pay them.

Does seem like a sadly common line of thought people have. Like my grandma had some people buying a house from her who up and stopped paying her over a disagreement about putting in a sewer line and she had to spend a good two years in court trying to get them out.

Just asking, is TNA's defense actually "We don't like the work he did" or is that just the opinions of people here?
Normally I wouldn't ask but... its TNA.

Regardless if he was good at his job that is completely irrelevant. It could be relevant if his salary was performance-based. I doubt Ditzy & Co. have the smarts to draw up a contract like that though.

Call me old school, but I do believe in getting paid when you are hired to do a job. As far as I know it isn't like Bischoff's and Hervey kicked in the office door, and held the office hostage to get the job.
