....How do you not know that one of your wrestlers has a tumor? How do you not know about this tumor for a whole year? How does Kurt know about this before TNA?
Does TNA really not do any physicals or check-ups with their wrestlers? How many other guys or girls are out there wrestling with shit that even THEY might not know about?
This has me asking so many questions about this company and the way they do business. I'm baffled by this. There are so many stories that would scare me if I'm a TNA talent, but this is one of those where I'd immediately hang my boots up and go.

Update: 10:14 PM: PWInsider has learned that the tumor is something Angle has known about for about a year but of late it has been causing him some issues leading to muscle atrophy, which is why he's having surgery. Of course Kurt worked with the damn tumor. Would you expect anything else from this man? And would you expect TNA to enable him by letting it happen, if they were even competent to know about it. (do they even do physical evolutions of their talent?) Nah, Kurt learned from the last time they made him get surgery, you know, the knee surgery after he was in a wheelchair for weeks when not wrestling, and subbed in Eric to avoid this. Just the taping schedule getting messed up caused Eric to miss the new test day.

If they knew they didn't care and if they didn't know than they don't care about their talents health enough to give them regular checkups. It's a sad thing really. I agree this would scare me if i'm a talent because their is no telling who could be sick on that roster whether they know or not. How could Kurt be so stupid even if it isn't life threatening, you take care of things like that first because TNA will not be their for you when you are laid up in a hospital on the recovery mend.

Presumably if they're breathing they're good enough to wrestle.

I am just wondering how Ethan beating someone up can make a tumor appear. I don't know how he can, even in wrestling logic, say he did it.

Is Kurt Angle in a bad financial situation? Because if he is, I don't condone it and I'll never will, but maybe he's putting his life on the line to provide a better living for his family, still he could open a wrestling school or find another way because his children and wife prefer him still being able to walk and alive.
This message will never reach him, but I got engaged about 3 weeks ago, I realized that I'm not alone in this world anymore, I need to be safe because of my future wife. Kurt Angle the man has a family, they love him and they are the only people that matter, not the fans, not his employers, not his wrestling career, not even his legacy. His family needs him. He needs to retire. He could potentially die, it's not worth it anymore.

EC3 made Kurt work at his grandfather's power plant so that he could compete on the company's wrestling team.

Just due to the way these spoilers usually work, I assume a lot was left out as to EC3's explanation. Maybe he said Angle's just using a tumor as an excuse, when in actually it was EC3 beating him SO BAD that Angle HAD to leave due to his injuries.

Damn. Now I'm really sympathetic to TNA regarding DA's executive meddling on the title.

Holy shit, when it rains it pours, doesn't it? That's what, Aries, Magnus, Gunner, Shaw, Low-Ki, Storm, and now Angle confirmed gone for either the short or long-term.
At the rate their going, they're not going to have to worry about getting cancelled by Destination America because they're not going to have enough performers to put on a show anyway.

...Dude.
I've heard of some crazy stuff but WRESTLING FOR OVER SIX MONTHS WITH A TUMOR IN YOUR NECK? First of all, that tells you all you need to know about the "safety precautions" people go through before wrestling for TNA. Second of all...jesus. That's really sad. And frankly, Dixie Carter can f*** off for even letting this dude wrestle if he knew. Even if she didn't know about it...HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THAT? Would that not be the first thing the doctor tells you when you talk to them? Vince is a real asshole but you really think he would have let someone with a f***ing neck tumor wrestle on his show? No way on this earth.
Sounds like a lot of people in TNA dropped the ball here. I just hope that it's not too late for Kurt and that he turns out alright.

It does depend on what type of tumor it is. If it's something extremely benign like a lipoma (fat tumor), then he's perfectly justified in having put it off. However, the fact that it's supposedly causing cachexia/muscle wasting suggests that whatever's going on is doing more to his system than just mass effect.

I haven't watched TNA since 2012 but I love EC3. I don't think there has ever been a heel in wrestling history to claim he gave a baby face a tumor.

I read it as heelish bullshit to say before you lay someone out. Either way, I hope something got lost in the spoilers because that's pretty damn stupid. Worst case scenario, what if Angle ends up getting really sick or, god forbid, dies? You've now just made a man's death part of a shitty ass wrestling show. Does anybody think in this company? I know the answer is "no" but come on now.

I really am going to be wondering if this is something Kurt discovered, and kept it to himself because THIS BUSINESS, or if it's something he told TNA and they still made him work. Honestly, I'm leaning towards Kurt being Kurt and not telling TNA. But man...it's a tumor. How can you ignore that for a year?! Seriously, at this point, he may have worse issues now, that's not a torn meniscus or a bad shoulder, it's a TUMOR! I'm no doctor, but that's not something you can let go on.
