So the tumor is causing muscle atrophy. Is it wrong for me to think he's more concerned atrophy will affect his role in wrestling than, you know, his life? No, because this is the same man who has constantly shown little regard for his physical health in competitive endeavors. Which is why I fully expect to read in the future some time that Angle has died in the middle of the ring during a match. I wish no ill will and really hope Kurt gets his shit together.

I know I'm a little late to the reply party, but I'm not digging the idea of giving EC3 a Plague Man gimmick.
Thankfully, from what I've heard, the tumor is benign, but regardless, you shouldn't go down that route.

It's basically EC3 and Nuclear Man. One scratch and it's bad news.

Not saying I had anything to do with it, but I posted and pleaded on his Facebook to step back and shortly after he finally took time off.
Again, not taking credit, but make your voice heard.
Yes it was official. It's linked directly from his official Twitter and both are verified.

Kurt Angle's reps announced on Twitter that Angle was rushed to the hospital by his wife yesterday after he lost feeling in his extremities and was having trouble breathing. Doctors found that Angle had a large build-up of fluid on his spinal card, a complication from having the benign tumor removed from his neck last week. Angle underwent surgery to relieve the pressure and will be missing a London Comic Con appearance this weekend.
Angle's management did note that he is feeling well. No word yet if he will be able to wrestle at next week's TNA Impact Wrestling tapings.
Just gets worse and worse for TNA.
Seriously, he is gonna end up in a wheelchair soon...

See? And this is why people were saying in the spoilers it was stupid for them to make a storyline out of it, because now they just came within somebody going to the grocery store or being distracted watching something on Youtube of having an Olympic gold medalist on their payroll die.

She doesnt care of the health of the employees all she cares is ratings, ratings and ratings...

Dixie can be blamed for a lot of shit but Kurt Angle having a goddamned death wish is not one of them. She doesn't have to force him to anything, he shows and does what he wants because Dixie cannot stop him. This is on Angle and has been since his drugged out shell of a man self got booted from WWE in 2006 for not taking his health seriously.

I had an issue with it mainly because they wanted to imply EC3 gave Angle the tumor. Now, Angle almost died from this. And... he may even have complications still after all this. Corrective surgery doesn't always work. They have already butchered EC3 with the Dixie nonsense, and they've already butchered the upcoming episodes due to the Herndandez crap, so I hope they edit out that scene.

The "rumor" (I mean, let's be real, pretty much everyone but Angle has confirmed it at this point) was that Angle was let go because Vince didn't want him to die under contract. Not get seriously hurt, DIE. Think about that. Vince is the same guy that's known to give his top guys speeches to get them to come back on the road a bit earlier than they probably should if there are literally no other options available. You don't just get rid of a guy who was as fantastic as Kurt Angle unless there are some serious implications. Angle was in such bad shape that even Vince was like, "ok, no way you can wrestle on our shows in this condition." Now, to his credit, Angle's lasted much longer than most people gave him when he first left but it's starting to catch up to him now. Angle's damn near superhuman but the body can only take so much.
