Joe has done that movie a million times without issue. What exactly went wrong here?

can't see the tweet. What does it say? TJ Wilson ✔@kiddwwe 5% of people survive this injury. 16 staples, 4 screws and a rod later and luckily I survived to tell my story.

Joe has done that movie a million times without issue. What exactly went wrong here? WWE says it was a freak accident, Bret Hart blames Joe for not letting go of that dangerous move and even using it. I wonder what the difference is between what happened to Kidd and what happened to Austin and Edge.

Why can't Joe just use Cody Rhodes version of the Muscle Buster instead? This way he can still keep it but have be a bit "safer"

Any chance he is kidding about that percentage thing?
I don't twitter, so I dunno how much of a jokester he is. But something tells me if it was a 95% fatal injury, it woulda been immediate, emergency surgery.

Joe has done that movie a million times without issue. What exactly went wrong here? WWE says it was a freak accident, Bret Hart blames Joe for not letting go of that dangerous move and even using it. I wonder what the difference is between what happened to Kidd and what happened to Austin and Edge. I believe it's the angle the neck was at at the moment of impact. Both Austin and Edge's necks were more or less straight and wound up getting compressed straight down. From the comments I read from Bret, it seems like Tyson and Joe didn't have a whole lot of advanced notice that they were even going to have a match. So it was like, "Hey, Kidd, take this move you haven't done in forever from a guy who you're not used to working with. You've got 5 minutes." Think of it kind of like Sin Cara's early matches, where the guy he's in there with isn't used to that particular kind of offense, but with "offense" that can easily destroy a human spine. Even if the 95% fatal thing isn't strictly true, that could have been REALLY bad for Kidd. It absolutely could have killed him almost immediately and he's *beyond* lucky that he wasn't paralyzed, straight on.

Has he ever injured anyone else with the move? I can't think of anyone, it's not like AJ and his finisher where it felt like it was a monthly PPV occurrence that he injured someone with his finisher.

Joe's new finisher: Pumphandle slam. Hey now, we can't have Joe taking Road Dogg finisher . What about a overdrive, no one using that anymore.

Only person I can think of Joe's muscle buster injuring is Kikutaro, who claims he still has neck problems to this day from it. AJ's situation is interesting in that of the decade or so he's been using that move, he's only injured 4 or 5 people with it, it just so happened three of those happened back-to-back months. Nobody's been hurt by it since.
