When Bret says YOU made HIM, you know that's some high praise. Absolutely! Roddy's own reputation for protecting his spot makes his willingness to not only give Bret the rub but also put him over quite remarkable and incredibly generous. Especially considering that the blacklisted racist thought Bret was unworthy of working a match with him.

Just watched that match with Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 8 for the first time this morning. f***, that's a damn good match. What the hell, use the bell! Great psychology there or Roddy being tempted to go to his old rule breaking, but his better nature winning out.

Roddy Piper was one of the nicest people I've ever met, and I say that having once been choked for real by the man in Philadelphia without provocation. Talk about charismatic!
Besides that story, I have a few great memories of my late father and I watching Roddy perform. No one can deny his impact on the wrestling business. When someone, fan or non-fan, thinks of professional wrestlers, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper is always one of the first names to come to mind. Personally, I wish he'd gotten more respect from the acting world. Though never winning an Oscar or the like, I think that his dedicated, believable on-screen performances are one of the reasons why pro wrestlers aren't all automatically typecast by Hollywood today. You're welcome, Dwayne Johnson.
Fans will terribly miss Roddy, but I know that his family members are the ones hurting the most right now. Losing a loved one is never easy. My thoughts and prayers are with his often spoken about children. Your dad brought joy to millions of people's hearts for many years, but none of us were fortunate enough to know the man personally, so I can't even begin to imagine how much happiness he must have made his family feel. I hope that once your hearts heal as best they can after something like this that memories of your father will bring you infinite smiles. Remembering him will certainly have that effect on the rest of us.
RIP

If Hogan does get officially exiled from the Hall Of Fame, I say they somehow put WM6 Roddy Piper in his spot just to really stick it to Mr. Bollea, brother.

My wife, who hates wrestling thought Roddy was hilarious in that show. Definitely, my heart does go out to the Toombs family.

Who is between Warrior and Savage? British Bulldog? But it doesn't really look like his action figure. It's really bugging me!

I found this song a long time ago on YouTube It's by a band named Deck of Jack The song is called Pipers Pit youtu.be/RFRD1OPJWYwHere's video of Roddy From Hogans birthday This is in Portland Oregon, Pipers adopted home town. You can hear the reaction he got from the town that loved him. He got a bigger Pop then the NWO. I can't remember if it's true but this might of been his last WWE appearance. youtu.be/PJS4O1EfN8g

I was away at a bachelor party all weekend so this didn't really have a chance to set in. This sucks - condolences to his whole family. I heard Colt on the Pit podcast a few times and he seemed like a good guy.

The video tribute to Roddy should be a great and emotional one tomorrow.

This still doesn't feel real. Like I keep forgetting he's gone now and then I see someone mention him and I'm just like "wait, what?"

Roddy: "Look, guys. I know I owed you all money. But it's the afterlife. Can we let bygones be bygones?" All: "NO!!!" Rowdy: "Well crap."
