This still doesn't feel real. Like I keep forgetting he's gone now and then I see someone mention him and I'm just like "wait, what?" and add to the bagpipes that a live band will most likely perform , this is going to be emotional

i'm an improv comedian, and i did a pretty big show today, and i wore a nice flannel shirt over my hot rod ringer tee. i kept the flannel shirt open so the audience would see the tribute, and our very first suggestion was for an audience members favorite celebrity. of course, someone yelled out piper. after that i buttoned up the shirt so i wouldn't take the focus away from our show, but that was so much more than i ever could've asked for. just when you think you have the answers.
after the show, i got about 50/50 fan response between "hey, you were funny," and "hey, awesome shirt." and you know what? i'm fine with "awesome shirt" being the response this time.

Really stinks. Sobering to think that many of the wrestlers who made me fall in love with this business are now gone. Humbling in a way.
The Piper-Hart feud/match still stands out as one of my favorites.

I've been away for several days with little internet access. I did receive the mobile alert from WWE that Piper had passed, but I have been so busy that I have barely had time to process his passing. I haven't been able to see how the media, wrestling and mainstream, has covered his passing.
I'm really going to miss the Hot Rod. He was one of my favorites growing up. I had his action figure and his training card, etc. I was also a big fan of They Live. I can remember as a child asking my mother if I could have a kilt to be like Roddy. She wouldn't let me. Oh, well. These past few months have been tough in terms of losing wrestlers I grew up watching.
R.I.P. 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper

This one really hurts. For me, Rowdy Roddy Piper is one of the main reasons I'm a wrestling fan. His promos and matches over the years are head and shoulders above most. He could make you hate him like no other and he could also make you love him like no other.
I feel very lucky to have experienced wrestling in the 80s as it happened as it was truly a magical time to be a fan and Piper was responsible for a lot of that magic from his dog collar match with Greg Valentine at Starrcade 83 to the War to Settle the Score to the first Wrestlrmania.
Rowdy Roddy Piper there will NEVER be anyone like you and no one could possibly fill your shoes.
RIP Hot Rod :,(

Www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf-sNmLjzz0I was looking for the interview where McMahon slaps the reporters papers out of his hands..... Then I see a clip of roddy saying he won't live to see 65. Very chilling

Oh man, I'm watching this year's hall of fame, and the Bushwhackers just called for Roddy to stand up and do the Bushwhacker march. I wasn't prepared for that. As heartbreaking as it felt, it was nice to see such joy on Piper's face.

ROH put together a tribute video featuring some behind the scenes stuff he did with them not too long ago and meeting some fans.

The moment that I found out about Piper's death was when I went through boards a few days ago and saw the title for this one and I was shocked. In a weird way, I am not all that surprised because if I recall, and I think it was in 2006-to-2009 or somewhere around there, didn't he have health problems? Of course, he overcame them and whenever he made an appearance, he seemed like he was alright. It's still a sad moment, and this was as shocking as Dusty's death more than a month ago.

Beautiful video WWE did. Noticed Hogan wasn't 100% scrubbed. Felt like a shot across the bow, see how it plays.....

I haven't seen this posted yet, so...
Maryland Championship Wrestling uploaded the final Piper's Pit from their July 18th event. Language warning on the video, Kevin Eck's a bit of a pottymouth.

WWE's YouTube channel put last night's tribute video up, in case anyone missed it.
The song is "Hold on Tight" by Greg Holden.
