Still feels like it can't be true.
Last night at FanFest, his show from FF 11 was shown. He was always one of my all time fav guys, but seeing that made me love him even more.

Nothing has been announced yet for a Network special, but I'll assume we'll get one Tuesday (I doubt they'll postpone the Austin/Paige podcast_

RIP, Hotrod. As far as I'm concerned, you and Bret Hart had the greatest wrestling match of all time at Wrestlemania 8.

I have no words. My favorite of all time. Saw him at the Brendan Byrne, MSG a WPLJ Diner stop after he retired. He was one of a kind. All I can say is Thank You Hot Rod.

I met him at WM25. Good guy, he was very friendly and when his time was up he wanted to stay longer to continue to sign autographs but they wouldn't let him so he signed a whole bunch of extra autographs and gave them out to the people waiting in line.

Best heel ever. My favorite heel of all-time. Loved his racially-charged promos in the 80s, back when heels used that technique for heat. And he was awesome as Da Maniac, foraging nuts for the winter.
It's crazy that some of wrestling's biggest icons have died over the past 5 years. By 'icon', I mean that if a non-wrestling fan were to see them, they'd at least look familiar. Piper, Warrior and Savage were definitely icons that even non-wrestling fans know, and they all died within a few years of each other. As great as many of the other deceased wrestlers are, these 3 are on another level of iconic status and recognition.
RIP Hot Rod. Thanks for giving us Piper's Pit.

Roddy Piper was the first cool heel
The best part of all he did was how real he felt

I really wish he was WCW champion since he was the one to give the nWo their first major defeat at Starrcade 1996.

My laptop was busted so I just heard about this. This really hurts. He was once of my childhood heroes because of nationalism. Yes, he was Scottish the same way Rod Stewart is but was still one of our own. Glad I got to meet him. And he even commented on how he loved my Hot Rod shirt. RIP Roddy. Honestly I thought of you because I remember what you said about Piper a few years back in the efed

When Bret says YOU made HIM, you know that's some high praise.
