I'll publish the other two mixtapes I uploaded sometime tomorrow (it's very late right now and I need sleep), as for uploading any more of them, we'll see. Interesting sound. It's sorta like if dudes from the early Norwegian black metal scene traded their guitars and Bathory albums for early Three 6 Mafia tapes and decided to start rapping. Also Jesus Christ everybody is not out to get you, my man, what happened to make you so paranoid? As a great philosopher once said 'You got some issues Shao I think you need some counsellin, to help your ass from bouncin off the walls when you get down some.' Well I've always been very paranoid/I've always thought the world hated me...and then I got an internet connection, and it made me far worse. Basically, the internet scares me, and I'm worried that I'll be attacked and ridiculed. I'm not naming any names, but I've seen what happens on the internet when a group of people decide to attack people, and I really don't want that to happen.

Apologies for the double-post, but I know I said that I'd make the other two mixtapes I uploaded public today, but I'm feeling scared to again, especially with a couple of threads on these forums and a couple of posts in another thread reminding me that I'm worthless and shouldn't even try doing anything because I shouldn't.
So yeah...I might release them tomorrow, but right now I'm not in the right state of mind to.

Even if someone were to make fun of your music, your posts, or whatever else, you really can just ignore them because it's just words. I'm just not understanding why you're so worried about posting something when there's literally no harm that could come of it.

Shao:
1. I like your music. Legitimately like it. Sometimes the vocals are too distorted for my tastes and I'd like to be able to hear your actual voice, but I think that's informed by your personality and how you express it, so that's cool, and it's super-unsettling. It evokes a feeling, so that's a win right there.
2. I really, really feel like you need to see a professional about paranoia issues. You could get more out of your musical talent and the rest of your life if you can get that in check.
If that's too much to handle, just think "what's the worst that could happen?" for starters. If someone doesn't like your music, then it's not for them. And if they feel the need to ridicule you about that, they're not worth listening to, because they're assholes.

I'm just not understanding why you're so worried about posting something when there's literally no harm that could come of it. Without saying too much, I'll just say this...I don't want to become the next Chris-Chan or 50 Tyson. I don't want to be seen as an 'outsider' musician. I don't want to be turned into a meme. I don't want to be ridiculed and attacked, because I can't handle it. I don't want to be popular. And on top of all that, I don't want any of my horrorcore style songs to be misinterpreted as serious and/or taken too seriously. Shao: 1. I like your music. Legitimately like it. The fact that anyone could like my music sounds weird to me... 2. 'Musical talent'? I don't have any talent. People like me don't have talent. People like me aren't ALLOWED to have talent. That's all I'll say on that... And finally, 'what's the worst that can happen'? See my post above...

You should impress these concerns and fears into your music. You have a lot going on in your head, might help you regulate it to get it out man. Might be therapeutic.

Anybody can have talent. Dude, you need to purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.
get your head on straight, because we can all relate to the doubts and fears jumping off of the page. you've been given advice and wisdom so sage, but for whatever reason you just won't take, I'm not calling the doubting voices in your head a liar but if they say that you're on fire all that's left to do is purify yourself in the lake.

A million apologies for reluctantly bumping this thread, but I have a question, and I didn't want to start a new thread for it. I'm confused about something, and I'd like to see if someone here could figure it out for me. Almost three years ago I made some songs using free beats from the website Probangers. Now that I've actually been going back to double/triple check everything before I release stuff, I noticed something that really confused me, specifically this page: probangers.com/terms-of-service/That page states that you have to purchase a license for commercial/public use of the beats, but in the comments section of the page, the owner of the site was answering peoples questions about using the beats and saying they could be used for free. Long story short, I'm confused about the wording, are the beats actually free or not? Also, I have another quick question, I'm looking for some royalty free video game related beats, does anyone know where to look? Again, sorry for bumping this terrible thread.

Would it be possible to send a message to get an exact lyric count on one or two of the songs? I just saw the posts- You lived up to your end of the bargain by putting the mixes up, I'll live up to mine.
There's actually at least one song I genuinely like and would be interested in playing (not even blowing smoke up your ass, since I'm usually not a fan of horrorcore), but due to FCC standards, I will have to make sure on it.

What do you mean by 'lyric count'? Also, as I said previously, I'd really rather you didn't play any of my stuff. I get anxious enough about it without having to worry about them being broadcast...just thinking of it makes me start to panic. Which song did you mean anyway?

I still really don't want any of my songs played on radio though. I'm not trying to be rude about it or anything, but I'd really appreciate it if you didn't play any of them.

Either way- the song I would have been most willing to play was from the top mixtape on the site, "Death Note Shinigami." I happen to be a fan of the series there, and honestly the mixture of horrorcore with a nerdy topic there was genuinely interesting. Combined with, as was said, how your flow sounded death metal-ish as well as rapping: I know on the site you said the first few had a bad microphone, but if you re-recorded it with a better one, you might actually have something there.

I don't think that song has any swearing in it anyway, I could double-check, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't. And as I said on the SoundCloud page description, all songs I recorded in 2012 and most of 2013 were done on lower quality microphones, whereas everything I've made from 2014 onwards is done with a proper high-quality microphone...so yeah. Either way, I'd still really appreciate it if it wasn't played.
