I thought Option A for every Champion since 2003 was "Pedigreed by HHH"

I was kind of hoping that it was for aliens to abduct Punk as their prophecied savior, only for him to cut a curmudgeonly-snarky shoot promo on them and get jettisoned into the ocean.

Heel Triple H going over hot faces is what's best for business you know, just ignore that long stretch in the early-mid 2000s where he did that and business tanked.
Things like this are why I have no faith in Hunter being the saviour of the company, his ego and politics will always trump what is actually best for business.

Not sure if better or worse than Nash texting himself.

What is this guy's deal? Has there ever been someone more out to blatantly bury people than Triple H?

Wow. Wow. Maybe the broomstick promo was him getting his primal burying urges out of his system after being denied it here. There's nobody in WWE that seems as simultaneously smart and incredibly stupid as Triple H to me.

I clicked on this thread expecting "the original plan" to be something completely ridiculous and out of touch, and I was not disappointed.
The only surprise was that Vince vetoed it.

You know it's bad when even Vince knows it's a bad idea and immediately shuts it down.

What confuses me is why is Hunter so threatened by wrestlers who are more popular or have the potential to be more successful than him? He's practically married to the business, his spot is secure regardless of the circumstances, and even if him and Steph were to split up he'd still power within the company. So what's his deal? Does it really eat at him that much that he'll never be on the same level as Hogan, Rock, Austin, Taker, and Foley?
He just needs to accept that he'll never receive that level of respect and that he'll always be viewed as an individual who was in the right place, knew the right people, and was at the right time.

And that is why you shouldn't have the people booking the shows also be on-screen characters.
