And Radscorpions. The resistance, damage, and radiation were all a bitch. The bane of stealth players such as myself due to their digging and speed.

Really getting into building up the settlements and man, besides Sanctuary, everywhere else is piss poor. No room to put anything and half the destroyed buildings you can't scrap.

So I finally encountered a [Legendary] Chameleon Deathclaw. I was circling the area around Salem, trying to locate the Mirelurk Queen, when suddenly a red Deathclaw ambushes Dogmeat*. I glimpsed at the name, realize what I'm facing, crank my Laser Musket six times, and proceed to blast away. The damn thing practically laughed it off and immediately began to charge toward my direction. I quickly swapped to my Gatling Laser and mowed it down, well before it had the chance to become invisible.
I haven't been that nervous in awhile.
*Note: I ended up switching back to Dogmeat after having one of my companions try to murder me over a case of self-defense. I sometimes miss the rather amusing lines, but I do enjoy not having to worry about the possibility of my companion going postal on my ass.
EDIT: How is melee? I have 11 (soon 12) points that I have no idea what to do with.

Haha, I know how it sounds. I was actually (relatively) innocent this time. I entered the Mega Surgery Center, saw the trespassing message, and immediately left. However, I was still attacked...so I retaliated. Next thing I know, Piper joins the Blue Execution Squad with the rest of Diamond City.

Really getting into building up the settlements and man, besides Sanctuary, everywhere else is piss poor. No room to put anything and half the destroyed buildings you can't scrap. I really like Covenant. It's already got a ton of amenities you don't need to build and they're in pristine condition (well, by Fallout standards), it's got a big f***-off wall so no need to build extra cover either and you do have a little bit of room to build extra stuff. Plus it's located near several interesting spots without being in a very dangerous area. Oh and the drive-in is also very good. Big open space, you can scrap all the cars, you can get rid of the radiation by scrapping the barrels and there's even a big source of water in the very middle. *squee* Catch up on those Tetanus shots, MacCready. I'm REALLY excited about the new Survival elements. I really liked the Hardcore mode from New Vegas and I was a bit disappointed that Survival, while genuinely challenging, only affected healing time. To be fair, they did make other elements that were only a mild annoyance before far more dangerous anyway (like radiation) and they did nerf some of the buff items (sometimes a bit too much. Seriously, Stealth Boys are nearly useless now) but still, for something called "Survival", I was hoping it would be something that really made me feel like I was in constant danger of death and had to ration wisely. On top of that, I always seem to have a shitload of food and drinks I don't know what to do with so actually giving them a use would be nice.

I finally decided to just dump the extra points into Big Leagues/Rooted/Blacksmith/Moving Target, and I'm pleased with the decision. I very much enjoy the ability to storm an enemy den and just clean house, and I don't think I'll ever tire of hitting a Grand Slam. Admittedly, I'm still pretty upset about the lack of support for the Shishkebab* (damn blade looks so sweet), but the choice has still resulted in fun moments. Most notably, a duel with an Epic Behemoth, which helped a bit with learning the melee mechanics. EDIT: Changes to Eyebrows, Lips, Jaw, and Chin. I'm having trouble capturing a decent screen during dialogue, so I decided to take one from an idle stance. I'll probably make another attempt later. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} And I stumbled upon the maze near Fallon's Department Store. Initially, I was anticipating a Raider ambush, so I was more than startled when the real enemies appeared. *Apparently the Shishkebab issue was fixed; my PS4 was simply unable to download the patch due to a disconnect.

Am I alone in wanting a full fledged version of Grognak and the Ruby Mines? I'd rather play that than this pretty cookie cutter at this point.

Eh, I wouldn't be surprised. I have a tendency to screw up characters. I think the only character I can look back on nicely was Mass Effect 2 character. Unfortunately, the third installment drastically changed that character. But yeah, more work to be done.

I liked the final Detective Case Files quest, so I'm definitely interested in Far Harbor. Automatron and Wasteland Workshop also sound nice, but I rather learn more regarding its limitations. Any news on console mods?

I'm so excited for the DLC!
I know it's not as in depth an RPG as the other games, but oh man, is it nice to get to play a reasonably jerkass brotherhood member again. 3 had them way too nice for my liking (Which I know makes sense in the lore.) I want my evil, xenophobic, fascist brotherhood dagnabbit!
