I really hope this series lasts more than 20-something issues.

That's such a weird Bolland cover. Style is obviously his, but some of it looks.....inked by a cartoonist? I dunno.... Kudos, though, it looks nice...

That's as bad as DKRIII and Secret Wars last year. Marvel need to start fining artists/writers who cant keep to schedule on these event books - or just stop doing them every year and spend some time building and giving artists a bit more lead time..... Dude's wife recently gave birth and then apparently broke her leg. Replacing him would be reasonable, but fining him that situation? I'd still say yes if it was just giving birth. He knew his wife was pregnant and due when he took the assignment. Given the leg break, then no, fining him likely would be harsh, but replacing him on the book is something they probably should have done.

Well, Detective Comics did'nt end the way we were all dreading, but it still allows the characters to deal with the fallout like it was a tragedy {Spoiler}Tim is overwhelmed by the drones and is seemingly disintegrated. Bruce learns about Tim's acceptance into Ivy University and he consoles Stephanie.
..But then it's revealed Tim did'nt die, he was transported to Mr. Oz's facility. And we get another big clue to Rebirth. Oz tells Tim he was getting far too close to reestablishing connections that needed to be severed and that for the good of reality he's been taken "off the field" More from Stegman on RYV

I saw a comment on Reddit and on Twitter last night wondering if that was the inevitability of this...

Yeah, and someone who got a copy of it the day before was teasing things about it on TV Tropes which proved accurate

People also sort of speculated what was happening in Detective Comics just on their own, I saw it on reddit over the past few days. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} I'm more convinced than ever that Oz is Ozymandias, even with the name being so on the nose. I hope that Tim isn't locked up for two years while this plays out.

Action Comics {Spoiler}The beginning of a new storyline, and an issue which focuses specifically on the latest Clark Kent in Metropolis.
I quite enjoyed this one. It gives you an adventure from the perspective of the new Kent, shows us his clear motivations, shows us what he's convinced of, and then to see him follow up on the story he seems sure he was tailing. Nice follow-up connecting Geneticron with the hostage situation from "Path to Doom", and old Brucey actually conducted the lie detector test per the request of our Superman (weird, isn't Bruce a bit untrustworthy of PF Clark at the moment?)
