Do the different colors mean anything? Unit alignment. They match what I've made on the first post.

Gate of Destiny Results. It was a good show. Notably the Twin Gate match was awesome and easily the best match on the show. Other standout matches were the Brave Gate match, and the main event. The crowd seemed quiet for most of the preliminary matches but really came alive for the main event. After the main event, Takagi appeared to be giving Tozawa a heartfelt goodbye, but instead dropped him with a pumping bomber, and the rest of VerserK ran out to stomp him down until they were run off by the entire locker room. In typical Dragon Gate fashion, each member of the roster took the mic and said goodbye to Tozawa in their own way including company president Takashi Okumura. A teary Tozawa finally took the mic and gave hiw own farewell speech to the crowd before departing the arena for potentially the last time.

Brand New Gate results.Much more laid back show than your typical Korakuen Hall event. Matches 2-4 kind of all blended together into one segment through the introduction of the new rookies (whose names escape me), and the other three debuting their new gimmicks and gear. Hyou Watanabe wears leopard print shorts. Futa Nakamura is now known as Ben-K. He wears a hooded gi styled jacket and pants. Shun Watanabe is now known as Shun Skywalker. He wears a green mask and body suit. I'm not sure, but I think it's supposed to be somewhat reptilian. Problem is he looks more like a knockoff Power Ranger. Out of the three, it easily looks the jankiest. The five rookies refused to acknowledge CIMA's congratulations on their debut and surrounded him. A future match between them and CIMA, Dragon Kid, Mochizuki, Fujii and Gamma was suggested. Possibly at the next Korakuen show. Doi told YAMATO he wanted the Dream Gate title. Somehow they came to an agreement that Doi Darts would take place at the next Korakuen show. I'm not entirely sure what the stipulation is.

Sheesh Shun skywalkers gear looks bad. Ben K is clearly the ace of the 5 and has the best look. Tarzan boy reminds alot of yoshino in his T2P days in look but with short hair.

Jae of IHeartDG posted this update in regards to the status of the site. You can respectively like and follow his DG Facebook and Twitter pages in the links provided. It's important to note that without Jae, following Dragon Gate outside of Japan would be extremely difficult. His work has been appreciated to no end.

Fatastic Gate results. This was probably the weakest Korakuen show this year. No matches really stood out, but nothing was actively bad. Also outside of the Doi Darts pickings nothing of note really happened. The Doi Darts segment was fun though. "brother' YASSHI was picked about three times. At one point the spinner fell off the board. Half of the picks were either rookies, jobbers, or just not there. Though Doi did manage to tell Punch Tominaga he'd been picked over the phone. Yoshino made a little girl cry, and Kanda was picked for the third year in a row. At the end Doi and YAMATO were added to their respective teams as a preview for their upcoming Final Gate match. Basically, if I haven't made it clear already, you can skip this show. Here's the Doi Darts match lineup for the next Korakuen Show:

Korakuen Hall Fantastic Gate results. Really fun show this time out, which really got me excited for Final Gate. I was honestly feeling a little cold about the card, but after tonight, I'm hyped. I can't get past how popular Doi is right now. The crowd was crazy for him. This was a big show for Jimmy Susumu, who not only got the pinfall over Open the Dream Gate champion YAMATO in the main event. He also got added to the three way six man match for the now vacant (due to an injury to Horiguchi) Open the Triangle Gate titles, putting him in two separate matches for the PPV. The Doi Darts main event was fun, fun, fun. It had a lot of the more gimmicky spots for the guys involved, such as Fujii taking consecutive chops from everyone else in the match, a completed circle of applied figure four headscissors, Jimmy Kanda delivering the John Woo kick to the entire opposing team, and a bunch of other goofy stuff. Final Gate is on Christmas day, I won't be able to catch it live, but I'll see the taped stream asap. Final Gate 2017 can be ordered here.

Final Gate 2016 results.Final Gate was a good show, but I didn't think it had any truly great matches. The main event, as per traditional DG PPV, was probably too long. Nonetheless, the show had an interesting theme of all the recently unitless guys losing their respective matches. Also following the main event, a crestfallen Doi refused a handshake offered by YAMATO, and upon reaching the stage was helped to the back by two unidentified guys with towels covering their heads. Pics below.

Open the New Year Gate Korakuen Hall results. The tournament setting meant basically all the matches were kept short. But the two count pin rules for the opening two rounds meant that the pace was kept up for each one. But it also meant that no matches stood out as being anything special by DG standards. Against better judgment, Stalker Ichikawa insisted on starting the tag match, going so far as slapping each of his partners. Unfortunately, as is common with Talker Ichikawa matches, he was pinned in about 5 seconds folowing a slap from Jimmy Kagetora. During the second take of the match Ichikawa had Maria down for a delayed and loooooong two count after a Ina Bauer German Suplex. But it followed Maria accidentally kissing Referee Yagi who was smitten and delivered the longest two count in wrestling history, only to be broken by Ichikawa breaking the pinning bridge due to exhaustion. He argued with Yagi following this insisting he perform increasingly fast counts, which led to Maria rolling him up and winning in possibly the fasted 3 count in pro wrestling history. Following the main event, VeserK beat down the Yoshino trio, but were fought off by Dr. Muscle, who unmasked to reveal Naruki Doi. The four faced down VeserK and (I believe) suggested an 8 man tag match for the February Korakuen Hall show.

Since last posting there were some injuries to 3 members of the roster. Gamma is out with an inuured left arm, Kotoka hurt his elbow, and most concerning, Yoshino has a herniated disc and 3 fractured vertebrae. It's unknown how long each will be out, as well as the severity of Yoshinos ailment. Desite that Dragon Gate returns to Korakuen this week for their February 2nd Truth Gate show. Last month at Korakuen after losing a fall to Kotoka, Hulk lamented his recent slump over the year. YAMATO, hoping to inspire his teammate back to form, offered him a Dream Gate title shot. The two unit mates will clash over the most prized possession in DG. Will their friendship survive the scuffle, and will this help Hulk find his groove again? Also following the finals of last months 6 man tournament, Doi arrived to save Yoshino, Kotoka, and Ben-K from a VeserK beatdown. The four agreed an 8 man tag at the following Korakuen. Due to Yoshino and Kotoka's conditions, there will be two replacements in their stead. What looked to be the formal establishment of a new unit is now up in the air. Who will step up to aid them, and what will it mean to the landscape of DG? This show can be purchased and streamed from NicoNico. Beginners guide on how to purchase iPPVs through NicoNico.

It's been a turbulent start to 2017 for DG, along with the aforemtioned injuries, YAMATO and Shun Skywalker suffered their own respective health set backs last month. Shun has a lower back injury, and YAMATO had a throat injury. As of now YAMATO was pulled from all shows, but will be back wrestling and defending his title against Cyber Kong at this weekends the Champion Gate shows. El Lindaman has been back wrestling since his own injury. Here are this weekends Champion Gate cards: Next week will also host this months Korakuen Show. With Over Generation and VerserK faceing each other with a unit member at stake. The winning team will claim ownership of one memeber of the opposing teams unit. Now since Doi is not a part of OG, how this might affect the result if he makes the winning fall, maybe raise some questions. As usual the show will air live on NicoNico.
