First WrestleMania, losing the tag titles with partner Mike Rotundo against Nikolai Volkoff and The Iron Sheik. Ah the US Express right? I remember reading that "Real American", which would later become the iconic theme music of Hulk Hogan, was initially recorded for that team. Yes, but they used "Born in the USA" for the first WrestleMania.

Bushwackers won their first WM (5), only had a comedy skit at 6, weren't at 7, had a dark match at 8, weren't at 9, lost a dark match at 10, and then weren't used while still with the company for 11 or 12 before leaving in late 1996. So during their 8-year run, they only had one on-air WM match, their first. And then there's the X-7 battle royale, in which one got dumped out by Doink and the other by Jim Cornette.

You forgot that the APA were defeated in the 4 Corners Elimination Tag Match for the Tag Titles at Mania X8 Aw, jeez, I knew I was forgetting stuff with Simmons and Booker T. I still remember King Booker's reaction to the step ladder vividly, yet for some reason, it didn't materialize when I originally did the two lists. I'm still surprised that Faarooq wasn't tagged in at WrestleMania XX. For some reason, that still bugs the shit out of me, because that had to have been his last official match before they retired him. Simmons's last official match would have been the Title vs. Career match on Smackdown vs. Rikishi and Scotty.

You know, the battle royals of Wrestlemania mostly could be considered naff. Yeah the ones at WM2 and WM4 could be considered fairly big deals (and of course the WM17 one was a VERY big deal) but since like WM21 they've seemed to be a way to fill up the card and use the roster in an easy way, and in general the 'battle royal' is a good cheap way to garner interest any time there is one. And the majority of them were on the preshow, some aired live, but some you could only catch on the DVD extras menu. Anyway, Mark Henry has been in 6 of those Wrestlemania battle royals total. They've always had those excuse matches to get as many people on the card as possible. It's half the reason early Wrestlemanias had a huge ammount of filler matches, there'd be random 8 man or 10 man tags, fatal 4 ways, Hardcore title matches etc. One thing the company has always been good on is getting everyone onto the biggest card of the year for a payday. I wonder how many people have been on the active roster when it was held and never gotten a WM appearance, must be a fairly short list.

He got in trouble that WM weekend for being drunk, and I think he punched Big Show (unprovoked) the day before the show. He didn't look too good at WM20 itself so I always suspected he was hung over at the PPV which is why he did nothing in the match. Then he wrestled on the Smackdown taping on Tuesday, which ended with APA being split up and Bradshaw (which gave way the following week to the introduction of John Bradshaw Layfield) basically getting him kayfabe fired. .......only by the time that match aired, Ron Simmons had already been let go - on the Wednesday, the day after the taping.

Mr. Perfect was only 1-3, with his one win being a 5 minute match against Blue Blazer Owen Hart.

Also, they were part of 7, though it was that pre-recorded instant replay segment with Steinbrenner and Paul Maguire.

HHH has a 9-10 record at Wrestlemania, which is worse than pretty much of his contemporaries, minus the Big Show with a terrible 4-9 record.
