I don't see Vince doing it because of the time difference in America which is their main market.
I can see them doing one of their lesser PPV's first to see how big a drop in PPV buys they'd get.

Boris in a WWE ring would make my life. I can see the confused looks on many of the non-UK posters on this forum.

but at what time would it start. its a 4 hour time difference between london and the east coast. So a 4PM eastern/1PM pacific start time? I don't see WWE going for that. Maybe a lesser PPV but not Mania

They're having a network special over here in September, I figure that's going to be the test. I wonder how much of a drop there was with Takeover London compared to other events.

The idea of Boris Johnson and Vince McMahon being in the same room is equal parts amusing and terrifying.

I never really understood that line of argument, I mean they get Wrestlemania 5 hours earlier than usual for a start! Why is a Sunday 3pm start, as opposed to Sunday 8pm, a huge difference to the US market? It's not like it's airing at an unsociable time.

Looking at his tweet referring to grassroots sports, I seriously think Boris is under the impression that Wrestlemania and WWE is a legit amateur wrestling company

Now if this was to happen, they'd surely have to involve some kinda Boris & Vince segment in the program. That'd be gold.

Just think of all the double decker buses and phone booths they'd use for a Mania set.

Book Neville in a flag match and have Boris be the flag bearer like he was at the Olympics.
He can bust out his finisher too.

Everyone needs to come to the ring on Boris bikes too.

Given how they run Mania it actually means a 1pm start (2 hour pre-show with matches). Sunday's are typically the day people are out during the day. Go to church and events there, brunch, family events, and other things like that and it can involve a bit of travel. Mania is announced well in advance so could plan but your also asking people to give up those activities which is hard to do.

OK, but the NFL play a large % of their games on a Sunday, with the 12pm kick offs starting early morning on the West coast, and I'm sure their television audiences are very high, from the first noon kick off to the Sunday night game, so I'm not sure the argument that people simply 'have other things to do' is quite there.
