So who gets suspended for touching Vince during his retirement speech?

As much as I would've liked his WWE run to have been better, I'm just glad it happened to begin with. Sting making an appearance in a WWE ring seemed like a pipe dream for years, let alone actually wrestling a match.
Thanks for the memories Stinger, hopefully nobody will run on him during his Hall of Fame speech.

Surprised he didn't wait until his Hall of Fame speech to confirm it. Would have made it more emotional. I could be wrong, but I don't see any quote from him. Seems like someone from TMZ just wanted to be first to the story (which is kind of a buzzkill).

This was expected. Like Edge and Daniel Bryan, I am glad I got to seem him wrestle live before he retired. Just a shame it was in TNA!

The fact that this WWE run of his has been terrible makes this even more sad. I know Daniel Bryan will forever have his epic WM 30 to keep him in the echelons of legendary wrestling, but this reminds me of a lot of potential squandered with him. That's why Fastlane was really insulting, for me at least, that WWE continued to make the same mistakes with hot talent (Ambrose) in not using them better.

It really sucks he never got a victory in WWE. I know wins and losses don't count and all, but come on. Was it really worth ruining Sting's moment just to show that WWF was always always always and forever better than WCW?

Given his age and that last injury, not a surprise by any means. I wish they had done Sting vs Undertaker at WM 31, but that will just have to remain a dream. Hope he enjoys retirement, he earned it.

Echo a lot of what's already been said here.. it's a shame his run in WWE ended up being just far too late.

5 gets you 10, he comes down during the HHH v RR match, and cracks HHH with the bat.

Was it really worth ruining Sting's moment just to show that WWF was always always always and forever better than WCW? He won twice. once by DQ which led directly into him and Cena beating Rollins and Show by Submission.

Not exactly surprising. Sting coming to WWE was only really good for a couple of matches anyway which is why it was so important to make his first WrestleMania a special moment, and that kinda didn't happen.

How will people turn on Sting now that he's retired?!? His body turned on him and that was all she wrote I'm glad the majority of posts are showing thanks that we saw him in WWE at all. It's a shame it came so late but it capped off a storied career that many wrestlers would have killed for. Thank you for your efforts and the memories Sting, one of a kind guy who went through the coolest character evolution I've ever seen when he became the Crow in WCW.

My favorite of all time.
Thank you Sting, for one of the greatest careers in professional wrestling history and a very well deserved induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

I really hope they take him up on the non-wrestling role offer.
He was my first hero in wrestling. When I was little it was Sting, not Hogan, that I adored. If this is the end of his wrestling career, then all he'll ever have is my gratitude for entertaining me for years and really being the performer that got me into wrestling in the first place.

If anything, this gets me a bit frustrated that Sting spent so long in TNA. If he'd just jumped ship a year or two earlier, we probably would have gotten that Undertaker match (while both men were slightly younger and The Streak was still active, to boot) and maybe another dream match or two with some other talents. Instead we're left with one decent showing in an overbooked loss to Triple H, one great showing (but another loss) against Rollins, and a bog-standard RAW main event tag win (set up by a preceding DQ win) as the sum total of his WWE career, all because his neck gave out on him taking a bump he'd probably taken thousands of times before on the turnbuckle. Sting didn't go to WWE for so long because he was afraid he'd be misused, and he was right.
