I loved Bart vs. The Space Mutants Also....spoilered for your safety: Shaq-Fu. Bought it the day it came out when I was a teen. Played the shit out of it. f***ing loved it. I must have played the first level of that game 100 times. I don't think I ever got past level 3 or so (Shopping mall with flying hats)

3D Sonic games.
Well, except for Sonic 06, of course. And Sonic Boom for the Wii U.

Action 52.
Yes, it's a horribly buggy mess full of unfinished games that would struggle to make it on the freaking Atari 2600, but... it's just so fasicinating that I can't help but love it. It's the video game equivalent or a car crash which you just can't take your eyes off of once you see it.
Also, the Cheetahmen theme is dope.

Mass Effect 3. While there were some problems with the ending, I don't think it warranted the backlash it did, and the extended cut also resolved any issues I had. My only real issue with the game as it stands is how little it did with the ME2 characters.
Also, while I'm quite happy to talk about how Sonic 06 really is a terrible, glitchy mess of a game, I quite liked the storyline (yeah, the infamous kiss was just a little bit of fairy tale iconography, not a sign that Elise wanted to have sex with a hedgehog) and if nothing else, it needs to be commended for taking the Sonic series back towards proper atmospheric level music rather than cheesy 'please say we're cool' attempts at rock and rap.

Final Fantasy X-2.
Sonic Heroes.
I liked The Bouncer back in the day, but it's aged pretty badly.
Eternal Champions.

I think the one compliment that I see regarding Sonic '06 is that the music is really good. As for the storyline, I like what it could've been. There's more holes than swiss cheese, but it could've been an interesting update to the Sonic Adventure series.

The Getaway is one example of this. I remember this came out in the states not long after GTA Vice City, and my guess is that a lot of people were expecting a GTA clone. It had similar features, but not too much. I remember at first I wasn't too crazy about it, but it grew on me. Another example is True Crime: New York City. Bugs and problems aside, the game had a decent story and I can see that the developers tried to replicate Manhattan in that game. I enjoyed it. I REALLY liked The Getaway as well. Never played the sequel, though.

Probably Sonic Adventure 2.
I felt it controlled way better than Adventure 1 and I didn't mind the dynamic shifts the Tails/Eggman and Rouge/Knuckles levels provided, plus Escape From The City is one of the greatest video game songs ever.

My only real issue with the game as it stands is how little it did with the ME2 characters. I didn't like how they handled the endings, and I agree with many of the points that many fans made (I was one of the many angry fans). But I still love Mass Effect 3 and the series in general, and I play the heck out of them. I think Citadel saved that game for me. My pick, for the thread? Star Wars: Republic Commando. Before anyone says "Art Ruth, that game is a cult favorite that set the bar for good AI and squad-based shooter gameplay!" hear me out. Critically, it wasn't considered to be much (I don't know about how it did commercially, but I never heard much about it after the first few weeks it was out). It's one of those "other" Star Wars games, stored in a junk drawer, away from classics like KOTOR and the Jedi Knight series. But it's excellent. Smooth gameplay, balanced enemies, friendly NPCs that don't drop like flies, decent characters, and some excellent AI. The game is too short, to be sure, but the overall quality of the game is superb.

Made Man, I'm honestly still struggling to see what made so many people dislike it so much and give it such negative reviews, with some even saying it was laughably bad. It's a solid third-person shooter with a lot of variety in the level design and a lot of good moments, with some surprisingly good AI for the time. It even had a turret section that didn't suck! I will give the critics that it can be a bit awkwardly paced at times. Like, there's a scene in a cemetery with this very elaborate set piece and lots of enemies so you expect it to be this huge and long shoot-out, and I swear it was over in like 30 seconds. When I beat it, I actually thought I died somehow because of how sudden the fade to black was. Eternal Champions. It caught a lot of flack, but I actually enjoyed this game. The storylines & characters were way cooler than most other comparable video games. I liked that one too. Too bad it got overlooked for the most part because of Street Fighter 2 & Mortal Kombat. I'll go with Postal 2. So ridiculous and over the top, I had a lot of fun with it. Nothing like setting an entire marching band on fire. I honestly feel like people bashing Postal 2 (and I mean really bashing. I get not liking it because well, what game is enjoyable for everyone? But some people act like it's the worst game of all times) are suffering from "Saw" syndrome in that they think that dismissing it and going "ew, I completely disapprove of such low-brow form of entertainment" somehow makes them come across as sophisticated when it only makes them come across as pretentious. And much like with Saw, I'm willing to bet most people who act all high and mighty about it never actually played the game but bash it because that's the popular thing to do. I really liked Postal 2. I especially like the idea that you can go through the game without killing anyone if you really wanted to I don't have the patience to pull off a Jesus run, but it's a cool idea Apparently it's easiest to do on the easiest difficult (unsurprisingly) as from what I heard, the enemies only ever carry shovels in that mode so you can outrun them fairly easily.

My only real issue with the game as it stands is how little it did with the ME2 characters. Honestly, this was always one of my biggest problems with ME3 as well. Well that and them really trying to force you into a relationship with Liara... I didn't say anything romantic to her at any point... stop it game. And the Multiplayer mode was actually a lot of fun as unnecessary as it may have been.

I always saw the Liara stuff as a close friendship that was safe to work with given that she was literally the only character who was 100% guaranteed to survive! And yeah, when the multiplayer stuff was announced, I thought it was a waste of time and didn't appreciate having to do multiplayer stuff to help the war rating... Then was surprised at how genuinely enjoyable it was and spent way too much time and money getting all the characters and thinking up elaborate backstories for them.

Doesn't necessarily have a bad reputation but Mortal Kombat 3 is considered no way near as good as 2.
Honestly I prefer 3 to 2, I kind of like the post apocalyptic feel it had.
Plus I think Stryker is great, I don't get the hate for the guy.
So he uses a Gun...So what?, considering other characters throw things like Fireballs and Iceballs etc, I think it's only fair he is allowed to use that.

I also loved Final Fantasy X-2
Yes the story is lame. But I liked Tidus and wanted to see him again.....ok fine. After I beat the game once I didn't want to see him anymore....
There are loads of mini games to play and lots of secrets to find as you explore each area.

Homefront I don't know a single person who likes this game, with one of them going to far to tell a mutual friend who was considering buying a second-hand copy for £1.50 that even that price was too much to pay for it. Personally, I loved the setting and campaign, and my only gripe with it is the briefness of the campaign itself.
Sonic Heroes Great soundtrack, fun levels (mostly), nothing terribly game-breaking. I still replay it every now and then.
Stunt Race FX While it was well-received at the time, it's developed a bit of a poor reputation over the years. It might be slow as hell and have appalling frame rate, but I loved it as a kid, and thoroughly enjoyed it when I played it again recently.

And the Multiplayer mode was actually a lot of fun as unnecessary as it may have been. I think one of the biggest causes for them not doing enough is that the game is just too short, and the game was not particularly focused on any of the supporting cast; not Garrus, not Tali, not Liara, not the VS, not Joker, not EDI, not Vega, not Javik, not anyone. I think that's also why Citadel was so well-received. Among other things, it gave players a lot of opportunities to learn more about different characters, their backgrounds, their personalities, even their hobbies. It also provided a setting for these different characters to interact with each other ("Shepard. Wrex. Grunt."). That was sorely lacking throughout the entire series.
