I'm a huge fan of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure for NES. I still play it regularly on my console.

Am I the only one that likes Zelda games? Which ones? I love just about all of the non CDI ones. Can only think of one that I don't off the top of my head, and that one is seemingly really popular.

Sorry my bad habit of making jokes that no one would even realize are jokes coming out again. I have gleaned that video gamers love them some Zelda. I'm just now playing A Link to the Past and seeing how awesome it is. I'm usually somewhat late to the party, but 25 years late is a personal record.

Probably on me As Link was mentioned on an earlier page.

Talking of Zelda it always annoys me when Spirit Tracks is dismissed as being the same as Phantom Hourglass. It not only fixes a lot of the issues with PH but has plenty of it's own plus points, most notably some of the best music in the series (which is saying something) and a great relationship between Link and Zelda which includes lots of genuinely funny lines.

That Sega Saturn robot fighting game. I think it was called Revolt of the Robots. Rise of the Robots? E.T. - I owned it growing up. It was crucial to have read the book for the game. If you did, it all made sense. I actually consider it one of the best 2700 games. Compare it to crap like Jedi Arena or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Those are bad games. I can't agree with this at all. I read the book and knew what I was doing but the hit detection was awful. I still played it because I didn't have much else at the time... but both that and Pac-man earned their reputation. Hit detection was a problem with almost all 2700 games not named Yars Revenge.

Dragon Age 2
I like it better than Origins and Inquisition (don't hurt me). Sure they reuse a lot of the levels, but the story is great, the characters are fun, the combat is alright and the personality wheel for Hawke is my favorite dialogue system of any game.

Double Dragon 2 arcade is just a remake of the first game, and there's the left-right attack mode, but I loved it.
I also liked the arcade Superman.

I agree with the people who said Mass Effect 3. The original endings did suck and I won't deny that. But the extended cuts resolved most of my issues and while there's always critics, I really think Bioware could've avoided a lot of headaches by making those the original endings to begin with. Though I also agree that I didn't like how marginalized the ME2 cast felt, even if Mordin did make me tear up a bit. But even with the awful endings intact, it was still like, 90-95% a fantastic game. Multiplayer was also surprisingly really fun.
Citadel was also blatant fanservice but I loved it.

Holy shit someone else that liked 2 I did not like Origins... I found it really slow and honestly not all that interesting for like 80-90% of the game.

The Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for NES. The very first game I ever won fairly. It gets way too much flack for the dumb dam level and not having every single character ever from the cartoon and/or action figure line. I enjoyed it for what it was and thought it was a great game.

Hybrid Heaven for the N64.
Shit game with a shit plot, shit characters and the whole nine, but the mechanic was interesting.
It was a nutso vaguely RPGish fight sim with turn battles. You got better. But in order to learn new moves, you had to physically take them enough. Almost all were wrestly too.

Evilzone (PS1)
A lot of critics bashed this game for poor simplified controls, stock anime ripoff characters and poor voice acting.
But I viewed the game as more of an anime homage than a rip off, this can be seen in Evilzone's main story mode as it plays out like a weekly episodic TV series complete with commercial break eye catches and next episode previews. And the over the top voice acting only adds to that esthetic.
Also I never had a problem with the simplified controls, in fact I liked the fact that each character controlled the same which made the game a lot easier to pick up and play from the get go.

I've played a bit of Evil Zone, and Paul Eiding voicing Gally more than makes the game worth it for me. Can't go wrong with Paul Eiding!
