Metroid Other M. It's flawed, but I feel it's far from the abomination it's been labeled as.

Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide
They're buggy and clunky, I admit, and they don't like up to the promise of that trailer. But I enjoy okaying them, and I like being able to put together weapons that can do damage(I like the bleeding ones). I also like that they've worked in both slow zombies and the running "infected" type. If I still had my 360 working, I'd be playing them now, but it's broke and I now have a PS4, so I'm waiting for the compilation release of the two to come out in May.

Top answer is WWE WrestleMania XIX it's so incredibly stupid it is great.
Other answer is ultraman for the SNES, it's really quite bad but I still go back and play it for some reason.

I should also mention this: I felt this was actually a decent game. Sure, there were some problems, but it told a good story and from what I have read, the game is canon to the 24 storyline.

Double Dragon 2 arcade is just a remake of the first game, and there's the left-right attack mode, but I loved it. I also liked the arcade Superman. I too like the Taito's Superman coin-op. Other games with 'bad reputations that I like: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (I consider it the best game in the Zelda series) Super Mario Bros. 2 (My fave Mario game, even if it's not really a Mario game) Duke Nukem Forever (It's definitely not a great game, but not horrible, either. It IS disappointing, but still an alright game in its own right. Some parts are actually rather good, like the Duke Burger stage.) Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption

Eternal Champions. It caught a lot of flack, but I actually enjoyed this game. The storylines & characters were way cooler than most other comparable video games. If there's one thing that game got right, it was the extent to which it game all of the characters quality backstories.

Doesn't necessarily have a bad reputation but Mortal Kombat 3 is considered no way near as good as 2. Honestly I prefer 3 to 2, I kind of like the post apocalyptic feel it had. Plus I think Stryker is great, I don't get the hate for the guy. So he uses a Gun...So what?, considering other characters throw things like Fireballs and Iceballs etc, I think it's only fair he is allowed to use that. Although I consider MK3 disappointing relative to MK2, I think it's still a very good game when played with a fellow human being. ALL of the original MK games were frustratingly unfair when played against the cheap AI. As far as Stryker goes, he wasn't able to use the gun during fights in the original MK3. I think Midway added a gun attack for MK Trilogy.

While I probably won't ever play it again, I thought Duke Nukem Forever was much better than the bad reviews would suggest. It seemed pretty much perfect as a followup to Duke 3D. Duke 3D will forever be regarded as a classic game, and one of the very best early FPS games (along with Doom and Quake). DNF is anything but classic or great. It's a huge disappointment. I think the game is still fun, but the only thing that DNF got right about the series was the theme and humor.

Duke 4 is also really disjointed at times as you see it go through like 4 eras of Shooters in the level designs.
But the biggest thing Duke Nukem Forever had against it is the amount of money it cost to create and the number of years it took to come out.
Unless it was the best game ever made it really couldn't justify those two things.... and it wasn't it was "ok"
and 15 years to make an "ok" game doesn't really cut it

Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption I loved this game. I was so disappointed the sequel had nothing in common with it.

I was disappointed with Dead Island myself but I feel like Dying Light is what Dead Island was aiming for (but failed IMO) although Dying Light didn't make a rod for their back like Dead Island did what that trailer

Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption I loved this game. I was so disappointed the sequel had nothing in common with it. Bloodlines isn't really a sequel. It's just a second game in the Vampire the Masquerade Pen and Paper universe. Like Neverwinter nights isn't related to Baldurs Gate even though they are both DND Games. I really wanted to like Redemption because I was a huge fan of VTM but... I just couldn't.

There's an indie lacrosse game that just released called Powell Lacrosse 16 on PSN. I've been playing it religiously despite people on places like Operation Sports saying it looks like hot garbage.
The way I see it, an independent sports game has actually been made. That can't be said for football or baseball these days. Not only that, but it's for a sport that the big companies deliberately avoid. The customization, for example, is unprecedented for a game in that genre. It's very similar to games like Rugby League Live 3 and Don Bradman Cricket (same developers). I'd rather look for the positives in spite of its rough edges, but that's just me.

Castlevania: Dracula X for the SNES. The game was largely panned for being a 'bad port' of Rondo of Blood, even though the game is NOT in fact a port of anything. Dracula X and Rondo of Blood feature entirely different levels and challenges. Dracula X was NOT trying to be Rondo, even though it features a similar graphical aesthetic.

I think most people hate DMC. I never played the others so for me it was just a fun action game for the ADHD generation. Level design is quite creative. I love the disco level.
