There's something of a consensus as to which ones are among the best - ones like 3, 17, 19, and 30 - and among the worst - like 2, 9, 11, and 27. But then you have the ones like, I dunno, 8 or 22 that no one really talks about as far as the show as a whole (even though 22's pretty great really). So what's the most middle of the road, least worth remarking on Mania there's ever been?
Not really sure offhand but relatively certain it's one of the early or middle ones. Though 29's kind of a weird example in that it's so middle of the road and unremarkable that it drifts from meh straight-up into being outright bad.

I want to say 26. Perfectly competent, but largely unmemorable beyond the Michaels/Undertaker rematch.

29, no question. The matches are fine but nothing happens. There's nothing that would qualify as a "Wrestlemania Moment".

I want to say 26. Perfectly competent, but largely in memorable beyond the Michaels/Undertaker rematch. Yeah, I can see that. I pretty much am inclined to count Mania 26 among the streak of bad ones between 25-29, but other than the Bret / Vince disaster there's not really anything wrong with it, it's just not interesting.

I feel like 12 is just kinda there. Yes, it has the Ironman Match, but overall, I've never wanted to rewatch it.

In the modern era 15 or 16. The only memorable things from those two events are Bart Gunn getting KTFO'd, Rock v Austin and the triangle ladder match.

27.
Never cared for The Corre vs Local Men, and Happy Kofi and Dumb Santino, Cole/Lawler should of been Cole/Ross and happened 3 years earlier on a regular PPV. The mix tag with Snooki was weak and I never liked Trish. Miz in the main event tops it off plus the stage wasn't that impressive.

26....I was there and the crowd was indifferent for almost the entire card, save for Michaels and Taker

Attitude Era Wrestlemanias 15 and 16 feel like they were on the same level as Survivor Series or Summerslam. Plus, they were held in arenas, not stadiums.
17 sorta revived WM, but funny enough it's seen as the culmination of the AE.

Between the bloated 5 hour runtime (and that's not even including the pre-show) and loads of filler, 20 seemed very meh to me outside of the 2 World title matches and Taker's return.

I'd say 29.
And Wrestlemania VIII was awesome!

Yeah 26 had such a lingering "thats it?" feeling after watching it.
I feel like many people think that 24 was very meh but I love that show so much. Got that up there with the usual suspects 17, 19, 30 etc

I feel like the Batista/Cena match from 26 is criminally underrated.
But yeah it's probably 26 or 16.

I actually think Mania 26 is pretty underrated. The legacy triple threat match & Triple H vs. Sheamus are watchable matches, Edge vs. Jericho & Cena vs. Batista were solid. Money in the Bank was always fun to watch at Mania. Than of course Taker vs. HBK was great even if it wasn't as good as their Mania 25 match. I'd rather watch Mania 26 than a lot of other Manias.

WM2K. Mostly because of booking. The only singles match of the night involved Divas. Not to mention it has one of the most forgettable main events in Mania history. Sure, it gave us Tag Team Ladders and Wrestlemania All Day and PIMPIN AINT PIMPIN AINT EASY MAN...but looking back, I expected more from a company at its peak.
Most of the teens and twenties were meh quality. WM22 doesn't seem as awesome to me now as it used to be at the time. WM25 (minus Taker/Shawn) and 27 were horrific. 29 was definitely meh but Punk/Taker will forever be a fun, underrated match.
In 26's defense, a good amount of those matches were absolutely solid, 7-8/10 quality stuff. Cena showed just how good of a hand he could be under pressure in that Batista match. Best case scenario, too, since that build bordered on the nuclear heat we have now, and the performers truly made something of it. Shawn/Taker II will always live in the shadow of WM25 but it was a testament to both of their efforts regardless.

I'd say 29. And Wrestlemania VIII was awesome! WrestleMania 8 has always been special to me. The boom period had ended in 1990, but this PPV still had that boom period vibe to it. 2 excellent matches (Flair-Savage and Piper-Hart), Shawn Michaels having his first singles match on pay per view, Undertaker's first WrestleMania as a face, and the return of the Ultimate Warrior!
Lets not forget the excellent commentary team of Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan!

WM 8 is not meh!! Lol. I would agree with 12. I remember more about the Slammy show, from the night before, then I can remember about 12 lol.

V It's not awful or anything but it's a case of quantity over quality in terms of matches and the wrong crowd for wrestling (you think they'd have learnt their lesson after being at the same venue the previous Mania). There's 14 matches and with the exception of the Hogan/Savage match, not much is memorable. It was that period of chucking loads of matches on the card for the sake of it. IV may have been a lot more boring but at least the whole tournament gimmick made it somewhat memorable. VI also has its fair share of forgettable matches but the dome gives it a more epic feel and it actually feels like something special. VII has the awesome Warrior/Savage match and the Hogan/Slaughter Main Event, it also has other memorable little things like Taker's Mania debut, the Blindfold Match (even if for some, it's memorable for the wrong reasons) and Jim Duggan's ridiculous outfit. V is just meh.
