You are of course right in all regards but for me the worst, most god awful and annoying thing they do and have for a long time now is pretending as if people are loving reigns when he is getting very loud boos if he so much as sneezes. Having to hear those three pretending everyone in the world is having orgasms over reigns is so bad and so annoying I truly reach a level where I want to thow myself off the cage. It's simply unbearable.

JBL yelling at Byron for making a stupid point was rather annoying, both come across as morons, my ears hurt, I stop concentrating on the match, nobody wins.

In regards Mauro, it's only a matter of time before he gets the main gig because he has stated himself Cole is his biggest backer and supporter. I can see Cole fully going into backstage role within the next 2 years or so. The Main commentary was no where near good which is a shame. I did like the for the love of mankind line but other then that it was a extended edition of raw with annoying commentary. Cole has shown he can be good, JBL has fallen off a cliff and Byron is to vanilla for this role. Here's the thing: Byron is not bad at all. He's no Mauro, but once in awhile he make a good point. Problem is (besides whom he is working with), he talks in such a way that, 1) you don't recognize who it is, and, 2) there's no "bass" to his voice. His inflection is barely above a whisper. If Byron must talk, tell him to 'man up'. What movie was that where somebody told another guy, "If you want to be taken seriously, grab your balls and talk loud"? That's what Byron needs to do.

Agreed. Never said he was horrible just Vanilla. Vanilla in the sense that he doesn't have the tenure to demand respect. He should make his points over Cole and JBL sometimes but he defers which is prob what they want from him.

I thought the highlight was during the triple threat when JBL said you had to be involved with the finish to win but then he topped it in the title match when he pointed out that the ref saw Triple H grab the sledgehammer and that he should call for the dq. Then after Vince yelled at him he said if HHH used it because I guess he gets the benefit of the doubt? So much wrong in that sequence from making your refs look like idiots, to pointing out they look like idiots to getting to a spot no one cared about.

I gave up on the current commentary team after they completely missed Sheamus rigging his cell at last year's Elimination Chamber. to the point that I still hear people call that a botch... when no it was pretty blatantly Sheamus being a heel that the commentary completly no sold... (in fact I think they even did the opposite and said that Sheamus jimmied open...) I don't watch the TV anymore but is Lawlers new thing that he mocks Ranallo every time he mentions something he doesn't understand? He was doing it constantly on the pre-show. How can he not not know what a Michinoku Driver is? Thought he was pretty disrespectful to Hayabusa too. Lawler is full asshole heel now on Smackdown.

"FOR THE LOVE OF MANKIND" is one of the forced calls Cole has ever had. Fixed for my opinion.

You want to know what makes them really bad? I watched Raw, I watched SmackDown, yet I had no freakin' clue what stipulations were in what matches.
One of them said there was no DQ/no countout in the Women's Triple Threat. Another says you have to pin the champion to win it. Either way, I haven't heard anything about those changes. The Usos/Dudleys match was apparently a Tables match, I don't remember hearing anything about that. Could have sworn they said Reigns/Triple H was No DQ/no countout as well, yet Hunter grabs the sledgehammer and JBL mentions he should hit Reigns. He'd get DQed but keep the title.
If your announcers can't get their stories and stipulations straight, how can I seriously get involved in this stuff?
(Edit: I shouldn't have to run to their website every 5 seconds to see the updated changes, added matches, etc. 7 hours of TV time a week and they can't spend 5 minutes to explain the rules to their matches? Bullshit.)

But I know that's not it sadly

I only ever heard them hyping they didn't need to pin the champion to win the title... which is again how it always is. When did anyone say anything about a Table match? It wasn't and I don't remember it ever being hyped as such. BUT... They did hype the LoN vs. New Day as a 4 on 3 handicap match during the preshow and it wasn't...

I think Cole sold Shane's dive amazingly well. Until JBL threw out a heavy handed "Mankind" reference seconds later to nearly take me out of the moment. It was largely the type of stuff we'd expect from the Raw team. I was having conversations with my father and friend during the show, so I didn't hear it all, but nothing really stood out. During Brock/Dean, JBL says "it's a chair" in the most deadpan manner possible. This is at least a few seconds after Dean grabs one. A facepalm inducing moment. There were quite a few production gaffes and questionable shots being selected, but, again, par for the course. The panelists (apart from Graves) dancing after Shane/Taker is no surprise. Most of that will be edited for Blu-ray and the Network anyway, but it hurts the overall quality of the broadcast. Pretty sure that "FOR THE LOVE OF MANKIND!" line was straight outta Cole. f***ing awful.

Pretty sure that "FOR THE LOVE OF MANKIND!" line was straight outta Cole. f***ing awful. I guess it was Cole. It's all a blur to me since I was watching with a couple others and we were all freaking out. I've seen a few posts that liked the reference. While I definitely can accept that, I just think a literal few seconds after Shane jumped isn't the best time to namedrop.

To me it's a no-brainer...real emotion isn't going to come from a contrived line with a clever reference. A guy just fell 30 feet to the floor through a table RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. A human, genuine reaction should suffice. But in a way, I think genuine emotion is trained out of the announcers at this point.

If you watch it back it actually looks like Cole is READING "For the love of Mankind" off his script.

The only thing that really bothered me was the overuse of the word "legacy." Ugh.
