Few things have annoyed me in the past 5 years more than "self-proclaimed Irish Lass Kicker". It's so stupid. You could just say that she calls herself "the Lass Kicker". Adding the first part just makes it an unnecessary mouthful. Just, ugh. I hate it. "The self-proclaimed People's Champion" "The self-proclaimed Cerebral Assassin" "The self-proclaimed Deadman" "The self-proclaimed Showstopper" Hmm, kind of makes someone sound like a heel who's the only one actually using that nickname.

"That's it! We have a new champion!" is basically a guaranteed kickout. I HATE when Cole does this-it's every f***ing match-at some point he'll call it before it's over-I noticed the Smackdown commentary team doesn't do it, but Cole-always, it's stupid

Stop telling us something is self-proclaimed, stop telling us how a guy the narrative says is the protagonist while being booed by the audience is "controversial", and damn it, STOP TELLING US HOW MUCH FUN WE'RE HAVING!!!

I think Michael Cole is seriously underrated, but, as someone earlier said about "We've got a new champion!" forecasting a near automatic kickout, Cole's use of the close cousin "That's it! It's over!" is just as jarring for the same reason. It pulls me completely out of the moment as a fan because it's just such an obvious signal of a false finish.

Anytime Jim Ross would shoehorn an unnecessary football reference into a match.

Every time I try to get behind reigns I hear Michael Cole say that and I instantly turn against him

We know what a hospital is, Michael.

"AHAHA HE JUST LIKES TO HAVE FUN, MAGGLE"
apparently "fun" is a euphemism for "total jobber who doesn't mind losing" given how it's used.

Saying a show is exclusive or only on the WWE network when it's still available on PPV.
Calling moves the cross face and Michanoku driver when they're clearly not.
Talking over promos and entrances
Fake laughing into the mic during jokes in promos
When JBL refers to a dozen different people during a broadcast as the greatest of all time.
Reading wikipedia articles verbatim when trying to put over someone's accomplishments.

That "self-proclaimed" shit started when it dawned on them that maybe it wasn't the smartest idea to call Mark Henry the Silverback.

"Controlled Frenzy." My goodness, that was just the stupidest thing ever, it didn't even make sense, and Cole would shout it during EVERY. SINGLE. MATCH. That Kofi had. I still get irrationally annoyed if Cole brings that up, and that's only once in a blue moon.

It goes back farther than that, Haas & Benjamin were the "Self-proclaimed" World's Greatest Tag Team. Using it for heels makes sense to me, but they shouldn't be using it for Becky

Talk about dumbing down to your audience. Next, they'll tell us during every RVD match that he had "educated feet". Get outta here with that noise.

Pretty much any time they talk about main event wrestlers instead of the present match. I don't think this is as much of a problem as it used to be, but that annoyed me more than any of the buzzwords. It's basically telling the audience, "this is just filler, who cares about these people, right?".
I don't care if it was Mideon vs. one of the Headbangers, make them seem important for however long they are out there instead of talking about The Rock. You can talk about Rock all you want when he's wrestling.
