That was actually a great segment. Not only did Goldberg get a huge ovation but the dude seemed moved and just so happy everyone remembered him after 12 years away. And not one to be known for long promos, the dude cut an amazing one. 12 years out of the game to basically try and sell this match, and in my opinion, did way better than Heyman had been doing.
It was a feel good moment, awesome segment to me, Goldberg killed it on the mic, and it makes me hope that this match isn't complete ass like the first time they met.
But let's cool it on the "Greatest WCW Champion of all time" stuff WWE...

I don't think we'll have to worry about this being worse than the WM20 match. If Goldberg is half as motivated in the ring as he was on the mic, it's blowing it out of the water.

He looks comfortable in what his was doing, which is more than he did in his first WWE run.

No cartoony garbage like we hear from most wrestlers. It was real and straight for the jugular.

He's still lifting children as we speak He's preparing to throw one like Braun did to that Jobber in his match tonight Judging by what he did with his son, he is learning to throw Germans as we speak. You know, that sounded a lot better in my head...

That was a legit amazing promo, like I'm taken aback at how good it was considering Goldberg's hardly known for speaking for any substantial amount of time. I'm amped for this match now

Goldberg just won over huge swathes of people for a match that previously they have been a little tepid over in what was frankly a simple old school ten minute promo.
Has he ever achieved this before? I'd say no.
WHO'S SIMON?

Have been a big Goldberg fan since the MNW, so glad to see him out there. I've always liked him more as a silent killer, but clearly he can cut a promo when he's motivated.
Good to see him out there. Although it's amazing to me that Goldberg looks like more of a threat to Brock in kayfabe than anyone in the company right now. Dude still has charisma and looks in great shape.

I also loved Big E, who has documented several times that Goldberg is his all time favourite wrestler, being in the background going ballistic when Goldberg was walking backstage

It was great, still a bit worried about how Toronto will respond to the match though as it's Bret country and Lesnar's adopted nationality

I heard he wanted one more match for his kid but it appears he's doing for ALL kids.

I'm really happy for him. Never been a huge Goldberg fan, but he had me enthralled. He's always seemed like one of the most decent and normal people in wrestling.

I don't care Goldberg is 49 and a part-timer. I don't care about the 50/50 booking or the time honored tradition of jobbing to the younger performer on the way out. I'm tired of Brock and that was a great promo.
GOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLDBBBBBBBBBBBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOLDDDDDDDDDDBBBBBBBBBBBBBEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG!
It makes no since to me to have Brock beat Goldberg then lose to shane freakin' mcmahon.

That was a prime example of how much a great crowd can add to a moment. They made that special.
