As an innocent bystander watching from across the Atlantic, I offer you my greatest sympathies.
You guys are effectively voting on whether to be punched in the face or kicked in the nuts. I don't envy your choices.

I'm anxious to see who wins, not for the future of the country, but the implications it has on tomorrow night's south park episode.

Local gas station is not selling beer until after 6 PM. Not sure if that or the opposite is best idea.

So I booked my American vacation from the 2nd-8th instead of the 3rd-9th because I saved 70 bucks by doing so. I wonder if it's because of the election. Knowing that a bunch of Americans are going to buy tickets to Canada on that day or already bought tickets just in case.

So glad Wrestlemania tickets aren't released for a while so me and my mates can assess the situation before booking flights.

I voted.....like three weeks ago! Seriously, if you live in a state with early voting and don't take advantage of it, what haven't you?
I'm more worried about the Democrats not flipping the Senate than I am about the White House, which I'm cautiously optimistic about. If that doesn't happen, it'll be the same kind of obstruction we've seen for the last 8.

Y'know what I'm not going to miss? Trying to watch The Flash on the CW app and seeing three Hillary Clinton ads in a row. I understand what they're going for, but come on. Amen to that. YouTube on iPad has become unusable because every video I try to play starts with an unskippable campaign ad. Simpsons World on the FX app? I'm hitting the MUTE button every time an ad plays because they're all political. Thank god that's over! I plan to go into complete social-media hibernation for today and probably a few days after. My Facebook feed has been a deluge of people sharing anything election-related. I know that you can block or unfollow, but it's easier for me to just avoid it altogether.

Consider me on the boundary of cautious and terrified. My girlfriend's over from Ohio at the moment, and we're considering whether she should go back if one particular demagogue makes it...

I'm currently in line to vote. (It's pretty damn long.) I went with Gary Johnson, much to the chagrin of almost everyone I know. He might be a putz, but he's my putz dammit. Otherwise, I'm voting Libertarian when I can, Republican when I can't. Well... Except for Senate. Republican incumbent Johnny Isaakson is running on his record, while Democrat Jim Barksdale is running on the spiffyness of his hat. I'm serious. 98% of his ads are hat-based. So obviously, I'm voting for Jim Barksdale's hat.

I can't wait for the results to come in and for the losing side of the big two parties and their supporters to graciously admit defeat and move on with their lives.

Bwahahahahahahahaha! Someone put the Electoral College under anti-bribe surveillance. Someone's gotta pay those $1000 fines.

As someone from Canada watching this unfold i have to say this: Not once have i heard from either Trump or Hilary what exactly they want to do or policies they want to put in place, except for Trump's wall. The only thing i ever see of them in the news is them trashing the other one. Sad that politics is now at this point

With this election upon us, I have made the ultimate choice and will vote for a 3rd nominee. Because even though there's no way in hell I'll vote for Trump, I'm not sold on Hilary. Granted, that won't matter in South Dakota.
I'll be interested to see how the local amendments and bills do, though.

Sad that politics is now at this point Hilary has spent a lot of time on her policies, but the news coverage prefers the personal attacks from both sides. She has pages and pages of policy on her website. Here's one random example, on Drugs and Alcohol addiction, spoilered for size It is also better formatted at her website www.hillaryclinton.com/briefing/factsheets/2015/09/02/combat-addiction/{Spoiler}

(Cause the big power companies are being sly and trying to pass a proposition where you can only buy solar power through them.)

This is the third election I'm eligible to vote in (voted Obama both times) but I'm not voting in this one. It's not some political statement or protest, I moved to Texas from North Carolina close to the registration deadline and tried to get my paperwork in but i didn't make it. I was gonna do an absentee ballot for North Carolina but I looked up my registration and it said I wasn't eligible to vote at the previous location I had been voting at.
If I could vote it would have been for Hillary. She's not perfect but I agree with her on enough stuff and think she's qualified for the job.

Sad that politics is now at this point Obviously not going to get into it, but there's been policy talk, it's just been pretty drowned out by the obviously much more salacious stuff. Still, I can't blame you for thinking otherwise, because shit's been bananas. B-A-N-Annas.
