As someone from Canada watching this unfold i have to say this: Not once have i heard from either Trump or Hilary what exactly they want to do or policies they want to put in place, except for Trump's wall. The only thing i ever see of them in the news is them trashing the other one. Sad that politics is now at this point Obviously not going to get into it, but there's been policy talk, it's just been pretty drowned out by the obviously much more salacious stuff. Still, I can't blame you for thinking otherwise, because shit's been bananas. B-A-N-Annas. The loudest agument either had was "I'm Donald Trump!" vs "I'm not Donald Trump!" so yeah, if you're watching this from the corner of your eye that's what this shit show of an election cycle boils down to. Now if you've been watching this full on... well it's been even worse. Just glad this is over finally.

I'm not from the US, so you can tell me not stick my nose but I don't mind, but my opinion and is not really about any policy or whatever
but I just don't understand how anybody can take Donald Trump seriously, he just feels like an OTT character come to life.
That been said best of luck everybody

Local gas station is not selling beer until after 6 PM. Not sure if that or the opposite is best idea. "And in a landslide, write in candidate Samuel Adams has come from nowhere to win the presidency!" In a stunning case of mistaken identity, it turns out the winner was actually Samuel Jackson.

Alright, three things I want to get off my chest for this one: 1. I want Hillary Clinton to win this election. 2. I am bothered that The Republican Party has a pretty solid chance to retain control of The United States Senate, due to their refusal to deal with the vacancy on The Supreme Court. 3: If Trump does pull this off, I am probably going to be doing my best Crow Sting impression, by hanging around rafter balconies, and refusing to speak for a year and a half.

Voting for Gary Johnson. I voted Libertarian the last two elections, but this is more than a protest vote; it's that he is the only candidate I a) like personally, and b) remotely agree with his platform.

Trump maybe a jerk, but he admits and doesn't deny who he is. Clinton tries to pass herself off as a sweet old lady but has been exposed as a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing.

Done with the dirty deed. I went with Clinton. Don't think she's perfect, but I think she can handle tense global issues way better than Trump would.

Altough I dont think Hillary is the ideal choice , she does have her flaws -but she has a poltical background. Donald is not qualified , he preaches hatred -in his America it is ok to discriminate against Minorities , & who knows where he decides to invade first. Donald would destroy this country

My wife is running for a political office today.
It's surreal how people you've known your whole life turn their back on you and get nasty just because of an R or D by your name. On the same token, it's refreshing to see so many more people approach you and say "I've been a lifetime X voter, but I'm breaking that tradition for you." It's honestly about a 80/20 split. With the 80% being happy people that just "get it". So it's not all as bad as it sometimes seems when you watch 24 hour news.
My only hope is that if she wins, she doesn't go mad with authority and strike down taco night with a gross display of power.
OH yeah, in the presidential race I voted for

Clinton might have her faults, but Trump's mentality as it relates to...well, everything, should make this a pretty easy decision for most.

Also, best of luck to your wife in her race.

To me, Clinton comes off as very fake, and therefore terrifying. Trump comes off as honest, and therefore even more terrifying.
Glad to be a good distance from this.

There are a couple of things that we need to learn from this:
1. GET INVOLVED IN THE POLITICAL SYSTEM, AT LEAST AS A VOTER. It makes me want to turn someone into an inside out sock puppet when things like "American Politics sucks, everyone is a bunch of liars, you can not trust anyone, just ignore it and live your life" are said. The system is broken, yes, but if everybody worked within the system, there would at least be a CHANCE that the system could eventually be fixed. If you ignore a broken system, it is going to stay broken.
2. Without dwelling any further into it, we really need to revive the era of compromise. And seriously work towards moderation within the political parties.
