So Sasha is the "Lex Luger winning the title for a glimmer of hope" to Bayley's "Sting beating the evil heel finally." Only they stretched the Luger part by 6 months and Sting is squashing Greg Valentine on Saturday Night. So it's nothing like it I guess. Once I called Alicia Fox "Greg Valentine" I couldn't just hit the back button. Also, the division is comprised only of Hogan, Luger, Sting, Valentine, Mike Enos, Glacier and... I dunno, Bill Kazmaier. Who's Bill Kazmaier?

To be fair, Sasha was holding out in the regular figure four but tapped at the exact moment that Charlotte got into the full bridge position. It was actually pretty well timed. It's not enough. Not with victory mere seconds away. Hell even if she tapped out, it would have taken the ref more than 2 seconds just to untangle her from the submission. She may as well just endured and retained. Dumb booking. Made her look awful.

When they know there's no getting out of and you think a bone is about to break you instinctively tap regardless of time.

Makes me stomach sick to see all these phlebs disrespecting our Queen after her triumphant victory. I should write everyone's name who talked negatively in this thread either written or printed consecutively, typically one below the other. Not sure what to call it put I am putting you all down on one.

I am glad it's over. But I am dreading Charlotte and Bayley once again because Charlotte is insufferable when it comes to these two. She is just going to say "GUYS! IT'S BAYLEY! LOL HOW CAN SHE COMPETE WITH ANYONE HERE! LOOK AT HER!" which I try to understand, she is a heel afterall. But don't they have something better than this? Bayley has beaten her so many times at this point in both NXT and the WWE. There is a delusional heel and then there is just stupidity and I am afraid she is going to cross that line.

The ending just makes Sasha look weak and stupid. They expect people to seriously believe she could not hold out for just 2 more seconds and win the match? How idiotic. exactly....to make it even worse she was in the hold forever, well over a minute, so her not being able to last 2 more seconds after looking up at the clock is really really dumb booking. What they should have done was have her pass out rather than tapping out...hell both times even...that would have made her look really badass...but nope...they would make too much sense.

WWE have finally did it. They took womens wrestling from being a piss break, made it interesting and competitive, then with terrible booking turned it back into a piss break. Well done. it never stopped being a piss break. (except for cases like last night where it extended to a full-blown shit break)

On the one hand, the feud and the matches have generally been pretty good.
On the other, hotshotting a belt does no favours for its value.
Honestly, I don't think the feud needed the belt at this point. It became a blood feud that no longer need a prize to fight over because of how personal it got.
Would people be less angry if there were no belt involved?

If the goal was to make Sasha look like a chump, then they succeeded. I don't know why they would want that, but it sure looks like that was their endgame.
Get your heads out of your *****, WWE.

Hol up, hol up f*** my feelings on either women or the hot potatoing of the title. Can we talk about the last few minutes of that match for a minute? Whoever put that match together needs to be demoted or something because holy shit, could you get wrestling any more backwards? If you must have the heel win, why in god's name would you have them valiantly fight to draw the submission with seconds left, sending the match to overtime? and then, have the babyface tap out AGAIN clean as a sheet? For people to rally behind the babyface, they have to show superhuman like endurance and be able to come through when the lights are on bright. If they lose, there's gotta be an out. Whether that be they got screwed or due to circumstances out of their control (an injury, for example), they end up falling short after giving everything they had. You don't have the babyface tap out clean twice in the span of 3 minutes. Sasha looked like the biggest f***ing loser tonight. A geek. A jabroni. A choke artist. They turned her into the Cincinnati Bengals. People that are in Cincy aren't even f***ing with The Bengals!!!!!!!!! My god, Raw cannot make babyfaces to save their lives. The art of this business is lost. This match showed me Iron man matches should be banned unless it's like a Benoit/Angle match where they each use unique submissions to tap each other out a bunch or a Brock Lesnar vs John Cena squash where Brock beats John 10-0 in 30 minutes. Or Kurt vs Brock on that episode of Smackdown when they had an iron man match

It is sad that almost everyone looks at the ending and think "lol Sasha is a dumbass" and only Charlotte's fans looks at the ending and think "Holy Moly, Charlotte is a beast".
Charlotte was strategically perfect, her aim was to make Sasha suffer and beg for mercy before the time runs out, and she did.
That last night was Charlotte's moment to shine, not Sasha's to stink.

Even if Sasha tapping with two seconds left made sense - it still is far from the ideal finish. She is the face and there are better ways to book this even if she is going to come up on the losing end. Have Charlotte continually go for the leg and leave Sasha limping in the final minute. She keeps fighting off the Figure Four and begins to mount an offense of her own. She picks up Charlotte for some sort of move causing her knee to buckle allowing Charlotte to roll her up (with the tights, grabbing the ropes, etc.). Here, it is true she isn't the smartest bulb on the tree as she could have tried to run the clock out. But at least she is fighting and only lost the fall due to her body giving out on her. Then you can have her submit or pass out from the pain in OT. I am not against faces tapping - but no need to do it twice in the span of a few minutes.

You book it like this. Have Charlotte jump her with a chairshot to the back while she's walking down to the ring. The match begins and Charlotte immediately gets a pin and goes 1-0 up. The announcers complain about how unfair it is. She then dumps her out of the ring and Sasha is still feeling the effects of the chair. Charlotte wins a CO and goes 2-0 up. The announcers say it's a cheap way to get a fall. Sasha painfully gets back into the ring and tries to fight back but is pinned again, and it's 3-0. The announcers say it's virtually over. There's no way Sasha can come back from that scoreline. Charlotte then goes for the Figure 8 but Sasha won't quit despite being in obvious pain. She reverses it and it's 3-1. You have the announcers say it's a consolation at most. Then with about five minutes left, she hits another pin and it's 3-2. The announcers start hyping how she could actually do it now and take it into sudden death. Charlotte begins to evade her, trying to run out of the clock, running away, getting back into the ring, hiding behind the ref etc....but with a minute to go, Sasha gets Charlotte into a submission and Charlotte is about to tap....only for time to run out. Sasha loses but retains some dignity. Charlotte wins and looks like a devious heel and coward.

Honestly I see absolutely zero consolation in the, "Yeah, but Bayley though!" thing since Bayley's sucked on the main roster thus far between not really being given any chances at all to shine and them simultaneously counting on you knowing who she is from NXT and thus not really introducing her but counting on you not having seen her in NXT by playing her as an out-of-her-depth rookie no one takes seriously, Bayley vs. Charlotte isn't a fresh match either, and I'm sick to death of things being dragged out to Mania or SummerSlam just for the sake of doing it.
And also, the progression of Charlotte and Bayley run afoul of each other, Charlotte beats Bayley down, then Bayley just ignores it because it's not Mania season yet is phenomenally shitty writing.

Charlotte was strategically perfect, her aim was to make Sasha suffer and beg for mercy before the time runs out, and she did. That last night was Charlotte's moment to shine, not Sasha's to stink. This. Say what you will about 'bad booking' but everything in the finish to this match made perfect sense to me. Charlotte did the bridge to the Figure 8 from the Four, putting significantly more pressure on the bad leg AND THEN Sasha was forced to tap. Not before. Additionally, Sasha probably thought she had Champion's advantage. In an Ironman match, if they are tied 2-2 at the end of the hour/30 minutes then the Champ retains. The only reason Sasha didn't is because of some lame 'End of the Line Rules' stipulation where there had to be a winner (now that was bad booking but honestly I'm sure most people just want the fued to be done and over with so nobody is really focusing on that aspect). If you like Sasha better than Charlotte, that is pretty much the only emotional argument you could have for this being a 'bad finish'.
