Before there's a bad end, these TV shows had great beginnings.
What are among the better season ones for these TV shows and others you recall?
Some Season Ones I really liked:
Married.... with Children Charmed

The Royle Family's first season was by far the best. 2 and 3 were good but didn't hit the highs of the first season.

Heroes *sigh* it could've been a legendary show if it kept up that momentum.
Lost had such a great first season, kept me coming back to learn more.
Flash season one was tier 1

A lot of really good shows had great first seasons. They're just often over looked if the following seasons are as good because the show has been established.

Hmmmm, as much as I love Homicide, I'll say Nip/Tuck.

Sherlock series one, when it was a show about a detective, not a show about a tumblr fanfic blog checklist

I'll always say that the first season of the Sopranos was the strongest. It had the perfect mix between Tony's personal demons and the goings on with the mafia (something which was too weighted to the latter by the end), Doctor Melfi was much more fleshed out and relevant to the show, while the Uncle Junior and Livia double team were the strongest villains that Tony took on throughout the series.
Plus we also had the great College episode, and Meadow and AJ not reaching full irritation level yet.

I thought the first season of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. was absolutely fantastic.
The show is still okay but started to fall off the rails with the Inhumans stuff. Sorry, Marvel. You can't me care about Inhumans in the comics, and you can't do it on tv either.

It didn't really get really good in my opinion until then and that was more than half a season in and continued into season 2.

Lois and Clark - New Adventures of Superman.
Seen as corny nowadays but it had the best interpretation of Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Lex Luthor and all the Kents ever, in my opinion.
I liked Clark dealing with everyday things using his abilities - decorating his apartment, cooking breakfast. Why wouldn't he?
By the third season, the charm had gone.

I don't think I enjoyed a first season of show as much as Mr. Robot. It actually put me off from watching the second season for the longest time because I was afraid it wasn't going to live up to expectations.

some great one have already been said (Veronica Mars first season was amazing), some I don't think have been mentioned
ER NYPD Blue (a long time since I have seen it though) Arrested Development Game Of Thrones Twin Peaks
There is probably plenty of British series you could say it about too
