You know you failed when The movie didn't make 1 billion. two of the most famous comic book characters couldn't even get to 1 billion Yeah, that should have been an EASY billion. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman all in one movie, that should've been a walk in the park. And I'd say it bodes badly for Justice League given that, given it's just, "Here are three huge names you already saw team up and some other people that don't matter!" IF Wonder Woman is good & gets good reviews then things look better Justice League.....but that's a big if

I don't have a problem with any of the results. Batman vs Superman was an unbelievably hard slog to sit through. I'm not even going to give the bonus footage cut version a chance. No thank you. I know studios like to do their own thing and all but maybe try taking more inspiration from the comics or hire some comic writers to help with your big budget movie. I think fans would be happier with a big comic come to life than a polished turd that just makes the characters we grew up loving look ridiculous in an effort that was a complete waste of time. These movies need more supervision by people that actually care about what's getting out to the public.

Razzies are nothing but star ***cker's. If their was a low budget movie made today with a no name cast as bad quality as Ed Wood or Manos The Hands Of Fate they would go largely ignored by The Razzies. That's the point. If The Razzies nominated the truly worst movies of the year - the kind of bottom-of-the-barrel garbage you see tucked away on Netflix or Amazon Prime or stuffed deep into the Wal-Mart bin or premiering on SyFy at 2 a.m. on a Tuesday - nobody would pay attention or care. A thread on The Razzies wouldn't even get created on this forum, let alone reach a half-dozen pages, for example. They know that, which is why they're more or less forced to nominate big-budget Hollywood movies that are "bad" but aren't necessarily the worst things committed to celluloid.

The Razzies are supposed to be Hollywood taking its walk of shame. I can imagine at least 5 indy or arthouse films were less watchable than Jack and Jill, but none of them were something we were told to go out and watch that year.

Not at all surprised Batman vs. Superman won everything, but while it was probably the worst movie I saw in 2016 - mostly because I didn't see that many - it really doesn't warrant it. And honestly while I very much disliked it I thought it was better than Man of Steel anyway. It didn't win everything though. It didn't win worst film, director or actor (and it had two nominations in that one).

But even that does make things almost worse when they do it. Dancing around the last two "small time" movies to do well at the Razzies- both Hillary's America and Surviving Christmas...it ties to the same point where...no one really cares if there's some small-time bad navel-gazing movie. No one cares if the Asylum puts out a cheesy mockbuster, or some unfunny comedy or navel-gazing, bland drama- or even some movie that's reprehensible in its concept. Just don't complain about it when people call the movie out on being bad, and people will let it live. Otherwise, accept your Razzie glory.

Honestly, besides this thread and the occasional Twitter post and news story, NOBODY cares about the Razzies. Probably because the nominees and winners are a cycle of obvious and guilt-by-association junk.

Bucky Larson came out that same year and didn't win anything Razzies are useless
