I felt like watching this match it was almost a direct F.U to Randy Orton's comments early in the week. And it was a proof of how well contrary to what Randy might say that style works, because the crowd was into that like no one will believe.
It was proof that Randy was as wrong as he could possibly be, and got the crowd hotter than anything Randy's done since 2009.

Probably WM XXX in the triple threat main event. But that was more a product of the situation they found themselves in, and the booking throughout the night than anything he did.

Orton's just jealous.

I say this or the triple tag team match from the last takeover for my MOTY. I was burned out of the rest of the card because this match was so good.

Additionally, Randy is going to have to go out there and perform against almost the exact same crowd, vs Jinder Mahal. So let's see how far that "Dive" shit takes you here Randy...

Man that was a really good match, I wasn't really into Tyler Bate beforehand for superficial reasons but the dude can work. Dunne is like exactly how a heel should be, stocky little mean bastard, glad to see him win the belt. UK brand looks very promising so far.

As others have echoed Pete Dunne is THAT guy. Dude could be a megaheel on the main roster if given the chance. He'd be a sure fire touchdown, homerun, goal, slam dunk....all sports stuff. All of them rolled up in Dunne. This. It is sensational that at just 23, Dunne just gets everything it takes to be a proper heel. The facial expressions, the mannerisms, everything, he just exudes legitimacy of being a prick and it is glorious. Tyler Bate still has a way to go with the character side, but its incredible just how damn good he is between the ropes at his age. Dunne reminds me a lot of William Regal who also understood those heel techniques, that may also be why Regal loathes Dunne so much because he sees a younger version of himself

I really hope WWE don't drop the ball with Dinner. He's fantastic.
Bate is great too, needs work on his character but his in ring skills are great.

Maybe I have to watch it again. It seemed like a big spot fest where no one sold anything, which is pretty much the same as most modern day WWE main events. I don't know, maybe this is just a sign that I'm getting too old for this stuff, because the whole thing seemed like one big rehearsed dance. I prefer the big spectacle with a few high spots, selling, and a great story to sell the entire thing. One of my big complaints of modern day WWE is that it's really light on story and really heavy on flips and high risk stuff that doesn't end up meaning jack. And ratings back up what I'm saying, indy guys don't draw like the wrestlers of the 80's and 90's. For all the crap we give Vince, his larger than life stars of those eras were all bigger draws than the Bryan's, Punk's, and Style's of today.

Everything that everyone has said is true, but let's not forget good ol' JR called the match. Gave it a big match feel to it. It's great pulling him in for a big match every once in a while. If JR is calling it, it has to be good.

Crowds always go absolutely nuts for Orton hitting the RKO. And wasnt Orton saying shit against 20 superkick divefests? That match wasnt really that. It was fast paced sure but it wasnt nonsense.

Dunne is great but I hate his taunt. But nobody's perfect so I learn to live with it.
Bate is fantastic as well.

The sad part if these two are completely unknown, yet had the crowd in the palm of there hand. Where as at Backlash, Orton vs Mahal will most likely fall completely flat and WWE will learn nothing.
