www.youtube.com/watch?v=GB7S_-QCUQA&feature=youtu.beSays working with Dixie was easy once she realized it was time to make a move. -Met Jarrett last December. Knew he needed a wrestling guy to help Anthem. -Will walk before run when it comes to live events to be responsible economically. Will have first live show by August. Hoping to have more by fall. Thinks Impact's absence will help them draw good crowds, as well as co-branding with AAA. Live events is an important part of their vision. -On the Broken gimmick: "I don't believe I have ownership of it, I KNOW I have ownership of it." Doesn't think the Hardys can dispute that contractually. Says it's not about who created it, but who invested in it and put it on TV. -Is open to speaking to the Hardys, open to an arrangement with the Hardys where they can use it, but it has to make sense for Anthem/Impact. -Says he's communicated with the WWE — they have no interest in the Broken gimmick. -Young Bucks were supposed to come to the March taping (as part of Hardy deal) and didn't show up. -Says they had everything worked out with ROH on the Hardys, but they kept trying to promote them as the Broken Hardys and they had to take action. -Says ROH relationship is fine, doesn't believe they hold ill-will toward him. Has discussions with them from time to time. Hopes for other crossover opportunities. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, I'm not a lawyer so take this with a pinch of salt, but I don't think just because you invest in something doesn't mean you have ownership of it unless it's in the contract that it's the case.
Like, if it IS in the contract, sure. But then again, he didn't say it WAS in the contract, just that they can't dispute it contractually, whatever that means.

Yeah... pretty sure unless the contract says you own the Broken Universe/any gimmick that debuts in TNA you do not own it.
Especially since you didn't bother to trademark.

That's a key thing too, if you think you own the thing, you get that stuff sorted out when the gimmick is invented. You can't suddenly put a trademark notice when the people involved leave because you didn't get your own way. You could have avoided so much conflict by, well, not being assholes.

New bosses same as the old bosses.
In one case, the new boss is the old boss.

Okay, so does TNA just attract stupid people or does it corrupt people to become beyond stupid?

If this kind of thing continues we basically have another promoter that is a know nothing that's going to hurt TNA further

His opinion on how his company runs and how their relationship with other companies stands holds zero weight with me.

When this goes all to hell and it will this will be the guy Jarrett and cronies blame when they do the wrestling podcast circuit trying to babyface themselves and their booking brilliance.

Didn't Matt provide proof that he funded taping stuff like Final Deletion and whatnot? I feel like that's a bigger investment and putting the gimmick on TV more than these Anthem clownshoes did. {Spoiler} Obligatory Ed Nordholm photo.

-Young Bucks were supposed to come to the March taping (as part of Hardy deal) and didn't show up. Wasn't this because TNA told them they couldn't do the special due to the cutbacks they had at the time so Matt had to pay his own money to make it happen? Like, from what I remember, that's why there wasn't that many name tag teams in the Apocalypto match.

Like, from what I remember, that's why there wasn't that many name tag teams in the Apocalypto match. That was earlier. Around the time when Corgan v Dixie happened and Anthem came out on top. Think it was mentioned that Corgan had a deal first in place for the Bucks to be part of the original Apocalypto, but that fell through. Then I think there was another deal in place for the Hardys and Bucks to appear in both promotions later on, when Matt first appeared on screen in ROH and so forth, but that fell thru because Ed cocked up the negotiations along with WWE entering the picture, and that is when the plan to have Young Bucks in Impact that he's referencing here fell flat as well.

Ahh cool. Thanks for the clarification.
