It might help Darryl if they ever really clarified his relationship with Carol. Ever since season 2 they've sorta, kinda teased something but it never goes anywhere. I think the entire Negan storyline has basically neutered Darryl as a character. He basically caused Glenn's death and then spent half the season being dehumanized by Negan and Co.

Was it me or was Jesus barely in this season until the finale? I swear I don't even remember him being on camera, let alone having lines, until the end.
I didn't miss that terrible wig though.

I think they stopped teasing that since like Season 5 Once they did Carol with Tobin I figured that was the end all be all between them Sasha was the Michonne of the TV show meaning everybody she got close to died and she had to deal with it. Carol is that somewhat as well but I think they just want her to be the cold bad ass

Was it me or was Jesus barely in this season until the finale? I swear I don't even remember him being on camera, let alone having lines, until the end. Jesus was there and maybe had like 4-5 episodes where he was in the background, with his "big moments" only being sparing the Saviors, dealing with Morgan, and I believe with Stone Cold Tara as well. This is once again one of those things where he is somewhat netuerd due to the Daryl factor. While Jesus is technically Maggie right hand man, Rick does lean on him a bit but he hasn't really at all in this series. Jesus as a character hasn't been killed like they did with Tyrese imo but he also isn't surpassing his value despite circumstances like they had with Abraham

Next season Maggie's bike gets stolen, and she travels to the Alamo to retrieve it, but gets heartbroken when she finds out there is no basement.

See, they kinda did stop teasing Darryl/Carol but then kinda did again once he found her in the house outside of the Kingdom. By the way I am still catching up with this show, having gotten up to Season 8. I kinda know what happens in terms of the big plot points though, but not from reading this thread.
There are so many people on this show that have X-Pac heat and need to be killed off. Father Gabriel, Eugene, Tara, Enid, Rosita, the list goes on and on. They seem like people who are still on the show because they are cheap and have no other job offers. I think the show started careening of the cliff late in Season 6 with the whole attack on the Saviors episode, which basically reduced our "heroes" into little more than cold blooded murderers. Then of course was the notorious Season 7 debut episode, which to me was one of those shows that broke the unwritten contract between TV producer and viewer. You can't legit upset people in a way that causes them to never want to watch again, and I think the Negan debut episode garnered the wrong kind of heat.

I want Daryl to get the pike scene in the worst way. Only for the simple reason of watching Facebook literally explode and also I am tired of Daryl too. Darryl has got to be, at this stage, the worst character on the show. He offers nothing, just a angry hushed voice and a crossbow. He's as one dimensional as an extra. The only thing Daryl adds to the show is he is the reason lots of women watch the show. Most weeks I end up watching Walking Dead with a group of friends. With most of this group being women. All of them are in love with Daryl, and the dead muskrat toupee he wears. And all have said many times if he is killed off they will quit watching. Personally I don't hate Daryl. But I do wish he would grow more on the show. Back when the group was split up and Daryl was with Beth it looked like he was about to majorly grow. But that has seemed to be put on the back burner for 3 seasons now. I finally got to watch the season finale tonight. 1.I am a bit surprised it was a normal length episode. 2.And when Rick cut Negan's throat I was shocked and thought Negan was dead. 3.The final scene with Jesus,Maggie and Daryl wasn't as surprising as I had been lead to believe. More in that I didn't figure Daryl would turn on Rick. I had been told that once I got the season finale watched to go watch the first episode of season 4 of Fear the Walking Dead. I haven't watched Fear the Walking Dead since season 1. I was so bored with season 1 I just gave up on the show. Even though I like most of the cast. To get caught up I read the synopsis of seasons 2 and 3 off Wiki. Love that Burt from Raising Hope is on the show now. And it took me most of the episode to realize the lady with the military truck was Shannon from Lost. Looks like I am gonna keep on watching Fear the Walking Dead.

I waited until the season was finished and watched it over the last few days. I actually enjoyed it for the most part. The finale with Rick/Neagan I kinda thought was predictable as was Dwight living. I know Norman Reedus addressed it (I can only imagine what the poor guys Twitter was like ha) but still that scene with Maggie, Daryl and Jesus did not sit right with me at all
After Daryl letting Dwight go and Jesus being....well Jesus, no way would I buy them as going up against Rick. If Maggie was sitting there with Gregory? Now that I’d buy because she has a legitimate gripe against Rick

If he was, I doubt he would say so on social media. Still, the way how the scene was played out with the ominous music in the background, it seemed ominous or at least a conflict is brewing.
