Is tonight's episode two hours? One hour Despite it being the 100th episode there's been no big ruckus about extended episode and all that

It's been a pretty good episode so far, though I figured they would have something big in store for its 100th episode.

They never really advertised it as such which is why I didn't expect all out craziness. Now if this was the finale last year than it be different but I think the season itself will be big, not just episode itself

This was a pretty good episode to start the season
They seem to be back on the path of making the season as a whole a surprise instead of the formula of only big shit happens start, middle and end of season
It's going to be a good bit of back and forth this season

I'm questioning how Judith (I'm guessing the toddler was Judith) aged two years? Yea, she's supposed to be how old at this point 1 or 2 She looked at least 3 I don't even know if she'd be one. According to the timeline on the official wiki she was born on day three hundred and nine and now we're just past day six hundred. I get that Carl has aged ten years in six hundred days but was Judith even walking at the end of season seven? There I go being an elitist again. But it's strange to think that when you go by that timeline they only left the prison a hundred days ago. walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/The_Walking_Dead_TV_Show_TimelineGood episode tonight. I remember this sequence in the comics well and it was one of the best parts, if not the best part, of the entire comic series. The only thing I wasn't really feeling tonight was the time-skips to Rick (presumably two years later). I know how it unfolded in the comics so it was no surprise to me. But my mom, for example, didn't even know the show was based off a comic book. She can't be the only one either. I guess since I know the comics I know exactly what was up. Maybe a person unfamiliar with the comics will see it as a spoiler as to who wins this fight with Negan? Or maybe a person unfamiliar with the comics will see it and have NO CLUE what's going on? And maybe it's all a giant swerve. Who knows. It will unfold.

A part of me thinks this is just a fake out but if you read the comics you know this happens at the end of the war.
A part of me is excited that we could get the whisper war to start Season 9 but I thought Kirkman would not cripple Rick like he didn't cut off his hand

A part of me is excited that we could get the whisper war to start Season 9 but I thought Kirkman would not cripple Rick like he didn't cut off his hand It really served zero purpose. Crippled Rick is much more managable than one-handed Rick. I'm glad they didn't bother with one-handed Rick in the show. But if Mgaggie is going to be the leader after the war (if they do follow the comics) and Rick does step into the background Crippled Rick can serve as an elder voice like Dale or Herschel. That wouldn't be too bad at all actually. The show misses that. But much like Judith I don't know why he aged ten years in two years. But what do I know? We both mentioned it being a swerve and it's probably a swerve.

According to the wiki too the Walker that was off in the background when RIck and Carl were in the gas station was the same actress who played "Summer", the first Walker seen in the first episode.

Bicycle girl? Any who, good premier. And how convenient all the big Saviors just happened to show up on the balcony. But where are the Scavengers? And F'n Gregory. What's up with Carl's new friend? Is he anyone from the comics that I'm forgetting?

Apparently that is Siddiq I guess since they made Oceanside all women colony in the TV series, this is the best way to introduce him

Bicycle girl? ? Nope. The little girl Walker that was the first one seen on the show. Rick shot her in as gas station. They even did the make up similar, with the ripped up cheek

I was under the impression that "Old Man Rick" was Rick daydreaming about a better future, not an "actual" time skip.

Apparently that is Siddiq I guess since they made Oceanside all women colony in the TV series, this is the best way to introduce him Yeah, I just read an interview on ew.com. They confirmed it's Siddiq. Looking at the actor, and based on recent comic events {Spoiler}He and Rosita would look hot together Nope. The little girl Walker that was the first one seen on the show. Rick shot her in as gas station. They even did the make up similar, with the ripped up cheek Same interview clarified this. I often remember her as the little Walker who picked up a doll. I also recall a Walker using a rock to bash to break into the store where the gang was hiding in the second or third episode. Ah, the early days. When Walkers were still capable of using fine motor skills.
