This entire saga of Hardy negotiation all the way back to contract renewals has been such a weird, ineffective way of not getting anything TNA wants and it's kind of impressive. Ed Nordholm really is a rightful successor to Dixie's throne with that perfect combination of evil and stupid.

"All we asked for as for half of everything they ever receive, 10,000 dollars, their baby , a lung from each of then , to sign away their houses, a gold statue of my image and a photo with the Owl. is that so much to ask?"

The only thing GWF is getting from this situation is bad publicity. They may as well run commercials saying "We're douchebags, don't watch us."

Ed Nordholm is the type of dude that sides with Caesar's Legion in New Vegas on his first playthrough.

Nordholm will absolutely be an on-screen heel authority figure someday...and I hope he tries to do the Broken gimmick himself. With Jeff Jarrett as Brother Nero, as a complete shitfest.

I would love WWE to send McDevitt after this guy. Sue them for the gimmick, and then for lost revenue. It's only then people like this disappear.

This man goes beyond "idiot" and well into "dangerously stupid" territory. It'd be in Anthem's best interests to get him out of power as soon as possible before he embarrasses them any more than he already has.

So legally, could WWE have Matt and Jeff go full broken on WWE TV? I mean from the sounds of it, TNAGFW don't have anything resembling legal paperwork or copyright, it's just 'this aired on TV so we own it'. I mean any court is gonna rule in favor or the Hardys because they actually have documents..TNAGFW is basically just going "nuh huh gimme WWE monies".

I think TNAGFW is doing this not because they think they can WIN the lawsuit when it comes to it, but rather that TNAGFW is doing it because TNAGFW WANTS TO LOSE the lawsuit. It makes more sense for why, and why WWE isn't having it. WWE is smart enough to know damn well the outcome for both in TNAGFW's hands. If GFW wins the lawsuit, they get: A universe of footage they already have, and can't do more with. If GFW LOSES the lawsuit? They lose the rights to the Brokenverse and lose these gimmicks to the Hardy Boyz... ...but in exchange? They just got legal precedent saying that a wrestler owns the rights to a gimmick they worked with under contract to a promotion. GFW would have the floodgates open for them- from there on out, GFW could hire any and every WWE castoff they want, and get to use them under their WWE gimmicks instead of a rename or slight change to the gimmick, and if WWE ever complains, GFW can simply say "Well, you fought and, under law, proved that the wrestler also owns their gimmick- so if you can have the Broken Hardyz, that means we can have Jack Swagger/John Morrison/insert other signings TNAGFW get"... GFW gets more benefits from this case if they lose the lawsuit with WWE or the Hardyz than they ever could winning- and that's clearly why WWE isn't going to fight the lawsuit for the Hardys.

Well the could but they won't because no one has the rights at the moment. Both side have filed for them and will end up either working out a deal or having a court decide it. If WWE were to run with it and the Owl wins, WWE would be screwed.

No they wouldn't. Because the WWE has it written in their contracts that they own the gimmicks they come up with. THAT WAS NOT ON TEH CONTRACT THE HARDY'S SIGNED.

No. If GFW were to lose it would mean they did not have ownership written into the talent contracts like WWE does. A standard WWE contract now explicitly states that anything you come up with in WWE is owned by WWE. Very rarely has that not been the case. They may not care about John Hennigan using the name John Morrison on the indies, they damn sure will not let that be used on any major scale (see LU and his TNA house show work).

Between this and the vague rumblings that it was actually Jeff or someone else out of TNA who tried to push the ROH/WWE buyout rumour shortly after they tried to take down their PPV in an attempt to make ROH look bad and distract from their own horseshit, it's kind of amazing to watch them pull this shit. Like they know they look like absolute garbage doing this but won't actually stop doing it because it's somehow easier to keep blowing money and pissing people off than to back off. TNA doesn't have any good outcome in losing the case, they really only want to drag this out hoping the Hardys give up and TNA either gets to spite them out of their brainchild because they're vindictive f***s, or they manage to get the Hardys to sign away 50% of everything they make so they can use the gimmick. TNA is running on pure, vindictive spite and I can't stress enough why people need to stop giving this company a dime.
