When Allardyce inevitably complains about the Liverpool penalty tonight....
It was a very soft penalty but Holgate had his hands around Lallana. If that was a penalty given for Everton in the derby just before Christmas, then it was a penalty tonight.

They were both soft goals, and tbf, fair point to Klopp for saying that in his post match thing.
Shame for Derby - held on for 86 minutes at Old Trafford, had a few shots saved too, then undone by Jesse Lingard.

And in the least surprising transfer news ever (which got even more obvious since Liverpool spunked £75m on Van Dijk) Liverpool have agreed a fee of £142m with Barcelona for Coutinho. I was hoping Liverpool would agree a deal where we could keep him until the summer and then let him go but oh well.

As good as he is, I'm ok with this deal, we have more than enough attacking talent, and it's to Barca, not a team in the league where if he does well, it hurts us week in, week out.

Yeah, I’m ok with it too. I know there were a few accusations aimed at him when he missed a few games at the beginning of the season but I can’t complain about how much effort he’s put in since. He’s ignored all the comments and just got on with his game. I don’t normally listen to rumours much but I’ve heard a few people saying we’ve contacted Leicester over a possible move for Mahrez. I’d be ok with that too.

It's strange selling him in this window. They're still in the Champions League and still pushing for a top 4 place. I thought they would have kept him until the summer.

Stoke have sacked Mark Hughes.
I know, you're all stunned, right?
They lost to League 2 Coventry earlier.

I can only presume Liverpool have replacements and reinforcements lined up, otherwise it would be foolish to sell Coutinho now.
Mahrez would be an obvious signing that would immediately improve them.

Mahrez would be an obvious signing that would immediately improve them. Maybe I'm doing the guy a disservice, but it feels like Mahrez has been coasting off one great season two years ago.

The other big rumour is Sanchez, not sure how I feel about that one. As fun as it always is to take a rival's top player.

I certainly wouldn’t mind Sanchez but I don’t want to pay a penny for a player we could sign for free in six months. And with all due respect to my team, I’d assume he’s got ambitions of bigger and better teams than Liverpool.

I really hate the FA Cup. Or I hate that the cup isn't taken seriously. Leeds field a weakened team (9 changes) and are once again knocked out by lower league opposition.

Arsenal 3-1 down and heading out. Terrible team selection by Wenger today, weak side with no quality subs to bring on. Arrogant selection by Wenger. We're away to a Championship team not at home to The Dog & Duck.
