The answer is Alexis Sanchez. The question is, will there ever be a player with whom Manchester City exercises some kind of financial restraint? It’s really strange that a team who has spent oodles on players over the past several years with a virtually unlimited chequebook all of a sudden thinks £35M for a 29-year-old super talented player is too much. I think it's the Tino Asprilla effect. There's been plenty of players over he years brought into successful teams only to upset the balance of the team. Does Sanchez really offer them anything they don't already have in abundance? Individually he's a better player than Sterling and Bernardo Silva, and is pacier and a better goal scorer than David Silva, but the team is a well-oiled machine at this point and things would have to change to accommodate him. Indeed. As an Arsenal fan I've seen Alexis score some quality goals and I've seen truly class play. However, he is not a 'team' player, he has upset the balance, Ramsey can't stand him and he gives the ball away a criminal amount of times every game. I give him and Jose about 3 months before they fall out. While I'm not thrilled with selling him to Man Utd, I'm much more worried about Ozil. He will be a HUGE loss for us and a massive gain for the club who signs him, IF he goes.

Willian dragged his foot over the Norwich player's leg. That's probably why the pen wasn't given. Shearer is calling VAR a shambles because he's worried that it will render pundits irrelevant, although in his case, along with probably 90% of all pundits, they are already irrelevant.

unfortunately the GLOOOORIOUS and MIGHTY ST MIRREN were ..... let's just say ..... slightly defeated 4-1 against ABERDEEN in the fourth round of the scottish cup earlier! it could have been worse and at least was under my duvet watching it aberdeen's fourth goal was WORLD CLASS, an astounding shot by mackay-steven a couple of minutes into the second half, from the corner of the penalty box that no goalkeeper in the UNIVERSE would have stopped! sodding GREENOCK MORTON went through the big stupid jerks celtic inevitable winning BRORA RANGERS beating league opposition! otherwise no surprises ..... now watching the WELSH LEAGUE CUP FINAL between CARDIFF MU and THE NEW SAINTS ..... will i see at least ONE saints win today, since only one of my teams bloody won!

The BBC’s David Ornstein reports that Alexis-for-Mkhitaryan is a straight swap with no money going to Arsenal.
Obviously, I think this is great business for United, but I think Mkhitaryan will benefit from a change of scenery, as well. He’s clearly still a skilled player, but it’s just fallen off for him this season. He started so brightly and until Pogba went down at the beginning of the season, he was one of the team’s better players. Now he can’t keep a cross on the pitch.
