I hope it's completely stand alone, I've only watched Daredevil You'll be able to watch this without having seen the other shows. Luke Cage was a big part of Jessica Jones, but you could watch Cage without having seen JJ and not miss a thing and I doubt this will be any different. Yup pretty much this. I watched Luke Cage before I watched Jessica Jones and didn't miss a beat. I've watched all of them except Iron Fist (I'm slowly getting the nerve to watch it) but yea the best thing about the Marvel stuff on Netflix is you don't have to watch each season to get a clear understanding but once you watch the other shows you just get more into the seasons and get the small details that makes everything better

This is why I don't binge the Marvel shows. I've found I enjoy them a lot more if I watch one episode a night. By and large I just don't... get the whole binge-watching thing. Admittedly I've pretty much watched jack and shit of Netflix's shows (the Death Note adaptation and Stranger Things are literally it besides about ten minutes of GLOW before I got bored, though keep meaning to make time for Little Witch Academia), but with other stuff I'm typically good for like three, four hours of it at most and then I don't want to see it again for a few days. Why it took me like two months to get through Breaking Bad when I finally got on that particular bandwagon. Watching 3 to 4 hours of a show is still binge watching. You don't have to burn though a whole 13 episodes in one day for it to be considered binge watching, the term started when TV on DVD got big and people started waiting until boxsets come out to catch up on a series. If you watch an entire season of say, Brooklyn Nine Nine over the course of a week or two instead of watching it over 8 months as it airs that's still binge watching.

Well, I meant more the hardcore, "Watch the entire thing in one day," sort of thing. And even then three to four hours is an 'at most' thing for me - usually after like two episodes I'm more than ready to find something else to do with my time.

I know everyone is gonna take a day or two to soak the season in like blood on the carpet, but i wanted to bump this thread to the front. I'm a couple of episodes in and the show is captivating.

"Man I'm bored guys, doing construction work all day sucks, I know! I'll pick on and harass our new coworker, sure he's got scars and well built and could drop a guy in one blow, but what's he gonna do to me?"
And the Darwin award of the year goes to...

Ive worked on many construction job sites and you will be shocked how often this happens. Ive seen a guy who is like 5'7 and his crew pick on the new guy calling him every racial slur in the book. The new kid was 6'3 and at least 250lbs. Granted he snapped and kicked his ass and both got fired over it. But that wasn't too far off reality where druggy high school dropouts with some senority trying to pick fights with scary looking dudes built like brick shithouses.

Only finished the first episode but I'm all in on this. That was probably the most well done introductory episode they've done yet.

The hipster joke got some laughs out of me. I am glad there's at least some levity. 4 episodes in so far, and barring some minor complaints, I am liking most of this.

Finally finished it. I gotta say, if nothing else, this is easily the best paced Marvel Netflix show yet. No second half lull like Luke Cage or Daredevil S2, never feels like it's stretching or padding like Jessica Jones.
Also, Jon Bernthal continues to be the best live-action Punisher by a mile.

I'm watching episode 5 right this moment, and so far it's... Okay. I'm not loving it, and it's boring me at parts. The most interesting things to me so far have been Frank's interactions with Micro's family.

I'm 8 episodes in and really enjoying it. Great stories and great acting.
I think the Marvel Netflix shows started off really hot and Daredevil Season 1 and Jessica Jones set the bar very high. Nothing since has come close to those two in my opinion. Punisher, however, is right up there with them for me.

I have about four episodes left, which I'll probably get to later in the week...but I'm loving it.

Finished it. Enjoyed the story and Bernthal. Iffy on Micro. Spent at least 5 episodes trying to figure out where I'd seen the actor who played Rawlins before.
