I thought this season was a significant step down from the first season. It just felt like one of those shows where they wanted to trot it out and get it over with since it's being canceled anyway. Again, all these shows were done filming before any cancellations were announced.

Three episodes left. This thing needed to be ten episodes...

Finished it tonight. It wasn't perfect or great, but I enjoyed it. Definitely wouldn't mind some more. I finally finished it after a long painful work week. I'm such a mark for the Punisher character that I hated that it was over knowing that this may be it. I understand the critiques though. What I wanted more than anything else would be if the last episode ended with a montage of The Punisher's signature kills from the comics. Where you could tell which story the kill came from by how it was shot. A dedication to the character's creates moments. Like a symphony of the Punisher's greatest hits.

With the two plots. It kinda felt I was watching two different seasons. I wish they would hand connected more. Felt like things were put on hold for an episode at a time.
Overall I enjoyed it. Probably my second favorite Netflix show after Jessica Jones. I’m glad this and Daredevil left things at a decent stopping points. Unlike magic gun Iron Fist or gangster club owner Luke Cage

I feel like the two plots thing was an attempt to fight off the 13 episode slog but it's hard to not feel drug out with them.
Can I mention the one episode dark-and-gritty reboot of Kingpin? I mean...just saying.

Agreed like many they need to trim it down to 10 episodes like Iron Fist did and cut out some of the fat and padding.
A Punisher video game does sound fun. Can shift between on foot and also vehicle missions in his Van

Man this second season really drags. Halfway done but barely invested. Bernthal is still great, but he's got very little to work with.

When I saw this bumped today, I thought it was going to be post about it being cancelled. Maybe they’re waiting for Jessica Jones to make the announcement. I read somewhere to today that Daredevil got more views than The Punisher in January... that can’t be good.

I read somewhere to today that Daredevil got more views than The Punisher in January... that can’t be good. Even if Punisher was the most-watched show on all of Netflix in January I don't think it's eventual fate would be any different. Netflix are pissed off that Disney have pulled the Marvel movies from the platform, and since they have minimal financial stake in the Defenders shows (ABC paid for the production, Netflix simply paid for exclusive broadcast rights) they've switched to other projects that they do have big money in while screwing Disney over with the two-year noncomplete clause on the Defenders shows themselves. There's definitely a solid chance of all the shows being revived on Hulu in 2020-'21, if the main casts are available (a big if), or even as movies to beef up the R-rated lineup alongside Deadpool and the oft-rumoured Blade reboot.
