"WWE's problem is the heels aren't really heels anymore, they're too sympathetic or justifiable" *Heel does something bad* "OMG WWE have gone too far the people in charge are such monsters!" It's not the first time I've noticed this either. When Seth Rollins did the Edge angle people complained. I don't get some fans, they want genuine bad guys but then are oversensitive the minute one comes along. Pretty much. The second a heel does or says something terrible... "THIS PROVES THAT VINCE IS WORSE THAN SATAN AND HITLER COMBINED! THIS IS WHAT VINCE REALLY THINKS, PEOPLE! I'VE NEVER BEEN SO OFFENDED IN MY LIFE, AND IF YOU DON'T COME OUT AND IMMEDIATELY DENOUNCE THIS, YOU'RE JUST AS BAD AS VINCE IS!!!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! For the most part, people don't want reprehensible heels as much as they just want petty, snarky jerks.

I never noticed that bit. I think that might have just been Jinder's weird hoarseness making it sound like that. He made a point of using an R, laughed and then the crowd booed. It was really awkward. You know things are awkward when the fans literally chant "that's too far".

in other news, subscriptions in India have apparently gone down since Jinders been champ. Nah. That was just another Forbes.com shitpost that erroneously quoted Wrestling Observer. Apparently, there's no truth to it.

Punjab population is a very small part of India. So using Punjabi to talk to the 1.3 billion Indian people is another "ignorant mistake" The Indian fanbase, from what I can tell, loves dominant babyfaces like Roman and Cena, and are really big on kayfabe. A cheating heel who can't even use the bathroom without the help of the Bollywood Boys is not going to strike a chord with this fanbase. But how will they root for Roman Reigns if he's not the same color as them?! /Vince

Casual racism directed at Nakamura for being Asian. But.. but.. India.. Asia.. Someone needs to get a framed poster like Andy Stitzer. This is one of my main issues with American English. Asia is hilariously ethnically diverse and over there 'Asian' means 'East Asian.'

I think it's "East Asian" now to describe Japanese/Chinese/etc. people, but not 100% sure. It's new and harder to remember, but if we're not using words people from that area don't like, meh, it's a small price.

What I say every single time someone makes this sort of stupid argument - it's probably two different sets of people saying those things, and even if it isn't, that doesn't mean it should be free game to do whatever the hell you want under the flag of, "But it'll get booed though!" That's one of the things I always hated about Punk and thought he was a terrible heel for honestly, he was so busy focused on being tasteless he forgot to be entertaining.

I don't see how 'Asian' is much less racist given that an Asian person can be completely white or have really dark skin. And I don't just mean like a Nigerian person could have a baby in Asia, I mean ethnically that all exists. Not that I am accusing all of America of being racist, I just find it to be a profoundly bizarre quirk of language.

I respect how hard Jinder has worked to get back to WWE and all that shit, but this guy's ceiling is the US Title (again, nothing wrong with that). I'm not the biggest Nakamura fan, but Jinder needs to drop the title to him so we can get a Nakamura vs. Owens feud over it.

The hell do you do with it? The right move right now, unquestionably, is getting the belt onto Owens ASAP because he's red hot right now and the show has more established faces than it does heels, particularly with their refusal to actually commit to elevating Rusev. But then what? Your options from there are Styles which has been done to death, Zayn which has been done to death and has the added bonus of him not being remotely relevant at the moment, Cena when he comes back which isn't really that enticing of a match-up in its own right, and Orton, which is fresh but honestly is probably going to need to be the Mania match for the two title or not since they're really the freshest available combination of top guys on SmackDown, and Orton shouldn't be anywhere near the title these days and sure as f*** shouldn't be winning it at consecutive Manias.

Yeah, I can definitely go without seeing AJ vs. Owens or Sami vs. Owens again for a while. I still think Balor (maybe Joe and/or Jeff Hardy too but I won't push it) needs to be on SD. It'd suck to see AJ leave SD, but I'd honestly consider doing a Balor/Joe or Jeff for AJ/Orton or AJ/Corbin/Ziggler swap.

It's not the first time I've noticed this either. When Seth Rollins did the Edge angle people complained. I don't get some fans, they want genuine bad guys but then are oversensitive the minute one comes along. Hmm looking at it this way it's kinda smart. A foreign heel thinks he's disliked because of his race and he uses that anger to say the same thing about his opponent to hurt them. On the flip side, the crowd likes his opponent but given what Mahal's gone through in his life, his mindset, he thinks the crowd dislikes Nakamura behind his back or will eventually turn on him due to racism, just due to how he, Mahal, had been treated. He thinks that Nakamura will go through the same path that he went through. At the end of the day however, Mahal's been warped by what he's been conditioned to so he's exactly like those who insult him. One thing's for sure: he's the real racist. Dare I say it, it's like if Muhammad Hassan was done right. ...Oh God I've jinxed it haven't I. I have no problem with the general concept they are going for, Except WWE has no clue how to do this right and it's coming off as Jinder saying whoever birthed this idea secretly wishes he could say out loud. Secondly; Hassan was Hassan done right, Originally an angry guy who outright said he was from Detroit and just as American as anyone else but because of how he looked he got shit for it. Then they decided he wasn't foreign enough and slapped a Keffiyeh on him and decided he was now a terrorist of sorts. Thridly; (I say this as carefully as I can to stay within the rules) The oversensitive comment is just unneeded, We live in a very racially charged world right now, regardless of the side you take on it. It is easy to see all it takes is a little spark to start something and people go to wrestling events, movies, et al to get away from all that for a few hours to have some mindless fun. Imagine if you went to a circus and right in the middle there was a 15 minute political ad, It put a wrinkle in your nice day out for sure. Lastly and most importantly: Synthol Mahal does not have the ability to pull something like this off, He can make angry faces but there is zero subtlety and it comes off as hoaky and boring. Hell his entire title run has been people eagerly waiting for him to drop it and vanish back into obscurity again.
