We have a trailer. Somehow with a somber version of its own theme music, which is new...

"Hello, Adora"? Who are you and what have you done with Catra?
Also, very odd that unless I missed it there's no sign of Double Trouble in the trailer. Everything with them in season 4 really seemed to me like they were going to be a major villain in season 5.

Well, last season's going up sometime in the next few hours. I'll probably not be able to watch it until tomorrow afternoon though.
I really hope they stick the landing and don't Voltron this up.

So quick spoiler as I am watching through it right now. {Spoiler} The moment She-Ra comes back has some real “Goku turning Super Saiyan after Krillen dies” vibes. It’s pretty glorious.

I’m not sure how to get my words fully down at the moment after watching all of the season at once but as someone whose enjoyed the show but bits and pieces here and there left me feeling there was potential and stuff it never went fully with, I’ll say this for now...
They stuck the landing. What a great season to end the show on.

It is, but I think he might be referring to what She-Ra has done here what Voltron flat out didn't do {Spoiler}Here, we get a love conquers all ending with Adora and Catra openly declaring their love and kissing...all without one of them being lost to some tragic twist

Just finished the show myself and... Yeah, pretty great ending. I think parts of the season kind of drag at points, and some stuff at the end is definitely too rushed (really could've used more epilogue) but on the whole, yeah, great series that started strong and ended strong. Definitely going to be a show I revisit at some point.

Definitely going to be a show I revisit at some point. I can agree with that. I think if there were, like, two more episodes at least, it might have flowed better and yeah, the fact it ended there was annoying because I wanted to see more. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Give me a Wrong Hordak/Scorpia Road Trip show. Just get a vehicle and have them drive around Ethernia, f*** it.
Also for my money, Episode 7 stuck with me a lot because it was set as a mini caper where you’re seeing minor characters get the spotlight and it’s really fun and then it veers into “Everyone’s F***ed” territory in a way that doesn’t feel jarring.

haven't had a chance to watch it yet... but uh... {Spoiler} they pretty much spent the entire series telling us Catra was a horribly toxic person (not just in her relation with Adora... but literally in her relations with EVERYONE) and a main theme of the show has been more or less saying yeah it's ok to cut these type of people loose.
How exactly do they manage to give her a happy ending...

Simply put... {Spoiler} The key thing at the start of this season is that she expects to fit in that same role she did with Hordak with Prime because, well, that's all she knows. She climbs the ladder and eventually takes control when the moment strikes. The problem is that Prime, practically his catchphrase throughout the season, "sees all and knows all" and has a bunch of clones he can take over in an instant so the only benefit he sees in her is just as a controlled minion after she tells her where Adora and the others are (who were going to space to get Glimmer).
Basically, all of this is thrown at Catra, realizing not just that she still cares for Adora all this time (which was expressed in a toxic way, you're absolutely right) but also that this is her last chance to get the opportunity to change that since, well, if she doesn't, everyone is a drone for Prime and the Universe is done for. So she frees Glimmer, sacrificing herself to Prime before Adora goes back and frees her and they eventually join the same side. The rest of the season is basically the changing relationship between Adora, Catra and everyone else. (Also because Bow's still angry at Glimmer for what she did etc)

Eh... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}it's not just Adora she's been toxic too... it's been everyone she's been in contact with.
Also it's strange that she now cares for the entire universe NOW when one of the ways she was toxic to everyone was trying to literally destroy all of existence in an earlier season.
I mean I get it...kids show and forgiveness is a big theme but... as Nash from radio dead air said... Hallmark don't make Sorry for the genocide cards
Personally I think they went way too far with Catra as a character to give her a last season face turn.
Also it kinda goes against the entire idea of toxic relationships they've been going for if the person she was the MOST toxic too welcomes her back it massively undermines that and people might get the idea that... ok this person was super toxic when we were in a relationship... but I should give them another chance.

Personally, I was all in for "Catra: Leader of the Outcasts" and make that the sort of end of season 4 where it's basically a 3 way scramble which would have been fun as f*** and given her a place to go from there. Hell, it would have been her being forced to work with Adora when everything gets messed up and Prime finds them. But that's just me.

I will say I think this season did a lot to expose just how half-baked Bow is compared to most of the rest of the cast. {Spoiler}His reactions to things seem to just weirdly ping-pong around episode to episode, he's largely rendered useless by having Entrapta as a main party member throughout the season, the romance with Glimmer comes out of nowhere, and his role in the finale is basically just hijacking Entrapta and Perfuma's subplots.

Just to throw in too... {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I couldn't have been the only one to notice how blatant the Star Siblings were as a backdoor pilot for a spinoff for this show.
Not that I care much because I dug them a lot but a spade's a spade.

Not that I'd object. {Spoiler} Me neither. My biggest concern going into the end of the season was how it was going they were a real mixed bag (Season 1 was a bit naff for me, Season 3 was enjoyable if a tad overblown in terms of stakes and 4 was actually really good.) but it was one of those endings where I went out of it going “Damnit, why end it there? Give me more!” which I hope they’re able to do. It seemed like Netflix backs it a lot considering, well, what it did.

So the staff of the show held a live-stream chat last night that apparently took a very ugly turn And it's gone
