f*** off Jim. Just f*** off. Stay away from WWE, NJPW, and any other company in wrestling. You're a stain on modern day wrestling and bring shit all to any company that is misinformed enough to offer you a job.

He's officially reached "Old Man Yells at Clouds" status. I'm usually more forgiving that most when people in the biz say something insensitive, but come on. Don't f*** with someone's paycheck.

It's weird you can see "pre-Jan" Jim Ross and "post-Jan" Jim Ross. Like, even on his podcasts he seems weird like I don't even think he took time off after she passed. Something is up with him.

Honestly, for all we know, they were paid bonuses and the understanding is that it was clearly to compensate for the lack of the GRR payday. WWE clearly wants their women’s roster to be happy and it looks as though they are week in and week out. The Saudis certainly paid WWE enough to keep everyone happy anyhow, even if they don’t get to perform.
But yeah, JR is dead wrong and his tone deaf response should embarrass him.

If there's anything that'll turn someone bitter and angry, it's that. But he should be aware enough of his emotional state to step away if he can't keep from taking it out on his work.

This is the same dude that according to Road Dogg in a shoot interview told R Truth he wouldn’t make it in the WWE because he was black

I dunno, there were stories about JR being kind of an arse that pre-date te past few years, he treated Bischoff so shabbily when he was his boss that JR paid to get out of his deal to escape retribution when Bischoff was promoted over him. He also tried to sabotage Ventura when they did commentary together and has admitted as much. There were also allegations that he encouraged developmental talents like Russ Haas to get bigger by any means necessarily to get on the main roster, but these things were largely ignored because he'd cultivated the kindly old wrestling fan grandpa character people lapped up.

The more I hear from JR, the more convinced I am that the best things he ever did was create the good ol' JR character and accept abuse on WWE tv to generate sympathy and blind people to the fact he's kind of a jerk. Unfortunately for him, the past few years have peeled back the curtain to reveal the man behind. Yeah, JR's always had an opinionated old asshole side to him, as is the case with a lot of the old school guys. You'd still see glimpses of it in his old Ross Reports.

I'm starting to believe a lot of people involved in this here pro wrestling industry lack a little awareness.

The girls would have been working house shows that weekend if the Saudi thing wasn't going on. So, I see this as WWE paying them lost wages. It's the decent thing to do.

Normally I agree with the “if you want to get paid, earn it” and no one should be entititled to something because of their gender, however in this scenario I wholeheartedly agree with the women being paid. Had it been up to them they would’ve worked the show, but given the nature of how things are in Saudi Arabia it wasn’t something they could simply choose to do.

J.R. has always come across as an asshole to me for some reason. Just never been a fan much of his commentary either outside of being way more enthusiastic than these generic goofballs they have commentating now. He would always mess up move names & other things I remember.
